I INVITE YOU to join with Bonnie and me in welcoming the NEW YEAR with Marianne Williamson. Marianne has been a shining light on my path since the close of the last century. In fact, it was while reading one of her books that I became aware of the presence of my beloved in my world without searching any further. I met Bonnie Lee in a park here Lake Charles, Louisiana, on Earth Day, 1991, after singing my Earth Song “THE FULLNESS THEREOF” during the Earth Day Celebration. The title is from Psalm 24:1 “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof; the world and they that dwell therein.” We dated for ten years and one day, while attending a friend’s wedding, we looked at each other and knew it was time for us to join our lives in marriage. We were married in June of 2001 surrounded by many friends, at Sunrise Ranch, in Eden Valley, at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in Loveland, Colorado. One couldn’t ask for a more romantic setting for a wedding. Now if you will join us in bringing in the New Year with Marianne Williamson. To my readers,

I want to wish you a happy New Year. Time seems to have moved very quickly over the last year, and 2026 already feels momentous. There are many unstable elements underlying world events these days, and we should face that fact with neither fear nor passivity. The last thing we should be thinking is, “Well, we’ll see…” as though we have no power over what happens next. In truth, we will see in the new year whatever we collectively co-create.

We could see this as an invitation. We are invited – in fact, challenged by history – to rise to the people we are capable of being, transmuting any chaos that presents itself, and becoming dedicated agents of repair in whatever way we can. No matter who we are, our thoughts and behavior affect a larger field of possibility in the world around us. This isn’t an easy time, but it’s an exciting one if we recognize the power that lies within us.

I thank all of you who have shown interest in my writing and videos over the last year. I take very seriously and feel very grateful for your interest, and I’m strongly committed to the work that is ours to do in the year ahead. I hope to contribute to both a deepening of our spiritual understanding, as well as an expansion of our social and political possibilities. To me they are not an either/or. They represent an integrative approach to repairing the world, and nothing less than that model is needed if we’re to heal our collective wounds.

We’re living in an age of disruption, and even if in many ways it’s all a birthing process of a far more beautiful world, the road ahead of us could be intense. This isn’t something to ignore; it’s something to prepare for, and a strengthening of our nervous system is an important part of doing that.
