Creating the New Earth Together

THE WORLD IS IN A STATE OF CACOPHONY, plagued by the clamor of a “noisome pestilence,” as the psalmist sings, then invites you into the secret place in the pure heart: “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him shall I trust. Surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. (Psalm 91:3)

The snare of the fowler refers to the coarse net of the human mind that snares and holds onto wayward and negative “birdbrain” thoughts and theories. The noisome pestilence refers to the ongoing pandemic crises that fill the media airways with life threatening fear mongering narratives designed to promote vaccines and sustain the flow of revenues into Big Pharma’s coffers and the pockets of the investors in human misery—and destabilize the social and economic climates of the masses. Nothing motivates people quite like fear.

Robert Reich pretty well sums up the moral crisis of our times:

“The moral crisis of our age has nothing to do with gay marriage or abortion: it’s insider trading, obscene CEO pay, wage theft from ordinary workers, Wall Street’s continued gambling addiction, corporate payoffs to friendly politicians, and the billionaire takeover of our democracy.”

Today we have a new noisome pestilence in the conviction of a former US President on thirty-four counts of criminal activity. The National News media are having a hay day with this one as advertising agencies flock to primetime to sell their wares. It is a noisome world we’ve created.

PLACE OF DISCONNECT

But enough of my ranting on the human world condition. There is a place of disconnect from the madding crowd and of blissful peace in your Heart of hearts. The heart entertains the finer essences of spirit. Take comfort in your Soul. Nothing dismisses fear in a troubled heart quite like love and a appreciation.

THE HEART AND DOMINION

As I initiated my previous post, the creation and publishing of a Fourth Edition of SACRED ANATOMY has left me in a pensive space with renewed curiosity in the magic of the body’s internal communication system and alchemical processes. I am finding much food for thought and meditation in Joseph Chilton Pearce’s enlightening book THE BIOLOGY OF TRANSCENDENCE ~ A Blueprint of the Human Spirit. I will bring this series to a place of rest with these words of summation of his insight into “The Brain in the Heart,” excerpted from his closing commentary in “The Heart and Dominion.”

YOUR HEART’S HOLOGRAPHIC EM FIELD

  1. The heart’s electromagnetic field is holographic and draws selectively on the frequencies of the world, our solar system, and whatever is beyond.
  2. Through glial action, our neural system selectively draws the materials needed for world-structuring from the electromagnetic fields as coordinated by and through the heart.
  3. Our emotional-cognitive brain makes moment-by-moment qualitative evaluations of our experience of the resulting world structure, some of which we initiate in our high cortical areas and others of which form automatically and instinctually in the old mammalian brain.
  4. Our emotional-cognitive brain has direct unmediated neural connections with the heart. Through these neural connections the positive and negative signals of our response to our present moment are sent to the heart moment by moment.
  5. The heart’s neural system has no structures for perceiving or analyzing the context, nature, details, or logic of our emotional reports. Thus the heart can’t judge the validity of or the reason for these reports and responds to them as basic facts. The heart responds on all levels: electromagnetically, through the unmediated neural connections to the limbic brain, and through neural connections to a myriad of body functions. Additional responses include hormonal shifts between the heart and the body and the heart and the brain, and perhaps shifts on sound and thermal levels as suggested by Schwartz and Russek.
  6. When the heart makes such an adaptive shift, suspending its stable norm, our perception changes accordingly. The world we experience in a state of fear, rage, dire emergency, competition, or struggle is quite different from that which we experience in a state of harmony and love.
  7. During an initial negative response, our brain shifts from the slower reflective intellect of the frontal lobes and neocortex to the quickly reflexive reptilian brain and its links with the emotional-cognitive brain’s survival memories and maneuvers. This shift from forebrain to hindbrain is not voluntary or within our awareness — it just happens and always appears logical, practical, common sense.
  8. The dialogue between our heart and brain is an interactive dynamic where each pole of our experience, heart and brain, gives rise to and shapes the other to an indeterminable extent. No cause-effect relationship can be implied in such an organic, stochastic, and infinitely contingent process. This mirroring is another vital example of the creator-created dynamic.
  9. In response to a negative signal, the frequency realm of the heart drops from coherent to incoherent. This is a survival maneuver that opens the heart spectrum to an indefinite or variable state. In this fluid situation our body, brain, and heart can respond in new ways to an emergency, if the old survival responses initiated by our lower brain systems are insufficient. (See figure 8 below)

(Figure 8. In periods of frustration, fear, or ager, the em spectrum is incoherent. In times when love or appreciation is experienced, it is coherent. Courtesy of HeartMath Institute.)

EVOLUTION AND DEVOLUTION AGAIN

In most instances of survival issues the Interpreter Mode in our forebrain aligns with and locks in on these concerns to form a nearly unbreakable tape loop between the forebrain and hindbrain. This shifts all attention and energy to the hindbrain and its survival mode. The forebrain’s creative intellect then serves these survival needs while the heart continues to receive variations of the same negative report repeated ad nauseam by the forebrain-hindbrain loop. This response can continue long after the original negative event, so that we live in a closed circuit of resentment and offenses against our neighbor or world, a self-fulfilling and self-perpetuating negative loop.

Again, the heart has no neural structures by which to judge the illusory or delusory nature of the reports the brain sends it. Whether the report comes from the hindbrain and its ancient sensory-motor and survival systems or from the forebrain’s creative imagination, all the heart can do is respond accordingly.

As mentioned in the summary above, in a negative state our energy shifts from the forebrain to the hindbrain and, reinforced by the heart’s automatic response to negativity, our thinking, judgments, and perceptions are altered in the interest of defense. In our archaic, defensive mode of mind we have limited our access to our intellectual capacities except as selectively used on behalf of our defenses or revenge strategies. We then use the same selective process to intellectually justify our reflective action: Defensiveness is always rationally cloaked as common sense, while revenge is always cloaked as justice. [Netinyaho’s “Holy War.” of revenge against Hamas?]

The ancient defenses are comfortably familiar; they are locked into our very body and memory, patterns of reaction that are make up the commonly shared cultural world in which we participate. Defensiveness is supported by powerful and ancient field energies that are part of our consensus reality itself. In a negative belligerent state of mind I have crowd comfort, herd support. This is why it is so hard to recognize and alter our defensiveness in those instances where it hurts instead of helps.

Nature’s economical habit of building new evolutionary structures on the foundations of older ones has led to our current magnificent potential and terrifying dilemma. Our potential can’t be utilized and our dilemma can’t be resolved by either intellect or moral and ethical effort alone (if at all). But we have within us this other link, the three-way connection among our emotional-cognitive brain, our prefrontal lobes, and our heart. Here in this connection lies our hope and transcendence — if we can break away from the madding crowd. Through understanding and using our heart’s intelligence along with our brain’s intellect we can resolve our dilemma. Whatever language or rationale it might take, our task is to discover — or rediscover — these two potentials, align them, and come into transcendent dominion over our life [and our worlds].

ATTUNEMENT WITH LOVE

Another word for align is attune. Attunement with the tonal frequency of Love in the heart and attunement with the tonal frequency of Truth in the mind aligns these two capacities for the generation and birth of life. Love and Truth are the Godparents of Life. The Father of Love needs the Mother of Truth in order to give birth to Life. The power of love alone is not sufficient. There’s plenty of love in the world. What the world needs now is the integrity and freedom clear and unadulterated Truth affords.

I would like to close with some poignant yet simple words spoken by my spiritual mentor, the late Lord Martin Cecil, 7th Marquess of Exeter (1909-1988). This is the last service he gave one month before his passing in January of 1988. This service was given on December 13, 1987, and is entitled “Radiant Light The Transforming Power.”

Lord Martin Cecil

There is just one way, and that is the way of light. And when light is allowed to shine in the realm where the prince of darkness has held sway heretofore, there is what might be described as war. I am sure all of you have had some experience in this regard. I am not talking about this superficial war that constantly goes on in the advertising world, or in the world of politics, or in the world of religion, or in any of the human worlds—I am not talking about that. But when the light begins to shine because you let it shine, all sorts of dark things erupt—there is war in this way. But darkness has no power over light. Why is it that so easily there is a fearful attitude toward the darkness? “It’s going to prevail. Oh dear me! It’s going to overwhelm me. This darkness is building up all around!” What about letting the light shine, then where did the darkness go? It is the constant radiation of the light that dispels the darkness. It’s rather magical, isn’t it? Even in a room like this, if you put out all the lights it’s dark. Darkness appears to have triumphed. But put on the lights, where did it go? It wasn’t anything in the first place.

Let your light so shine. We are reaching a point where we begin to understand what that means: no more fear of the darkness. Many children are afraid of the dark. We have all been children. The easiest way to dispel that fear is to turn on the light. Let your light so shine. I am the light of the world, of my world in particular. If my light shines in my world it’s not dark anymore to me. It may be dark to the creatures of darkness round about, but to me, no. This shining of the light comes, as we know, individually speaking. One must let it happen, for oneself. But there begins to be a collective shining of the light in consequence. And the darkness is in the process of being dispelled. Keep the light coming.

“Keep the light coming.” Simple words expressing the simple truth. Until my next post,

keep your light shining.

DOMINION AND OUR TRIUNE HEART

SINCE ENGAGING WITH FRIENDS in the publication of the Fourth Edition of SACRED ANATOMY ~ Temple of the Living God, my thoughts have gathered around the biology that facilitates heart-brain intelligence — inspired and guided by Joseph Chilton Pearce’s scholarly book THE BIOLOGY OF TRANSCEDENCE ~ A Blueprint of the Human Spirit.

This centering in heart-brain dynamic arises out of a keen interest in the mechanism by which David Bohm’s implicate and explicate orders interface and interact with one another, the one giving form, birth and function to the other — in biblical terms, how the ordinances of Heaven are set in the Earth. The sayings “the heart knows best” and “go with your heart” are not only true but have a biological basis in our physiology. There’s a hormonal aspect to it as well. This excerpt from Pearce’s book speaks to this vibrational mechanism in some detail.

Consider, then, these three established ways by which the heart regulates and influences brain-body systems. (Sound waves may prove a fourth influence, as Schwartz and Russek suggest.) First and most spectacular of these three — and most unrecognized yet — is the electromagnetic activity we’ve already discussed. Heart radiation [love] saturates every cell, DNA molecule, glia, and so on, and helps determine their function and destiny. From this viewpoint the heart seems a frequency generator, creating the fields of information our of which we build our experience of ourselves and the world.

Of course, as we know, our hearts do not regulate or generate anything on their own. As sovereign beings we use our hearts to regulate the activities of our mind-body continuum and our entire temple and creative fields. As radiant beings, we send currents of love energy into our hearts which then resonate and amplify those energetic frequencies and broadcast them. Our human capacities do not rightly act on their own but rather serve as resonating chambers through which we regulate the intensity and volume of our creative expression.

It is the self-generated human activity that shuts out spirit and excludes the contribution of the heart’s intelligence, and consequently that of divine being, which empowers our very humanity.

Having said that, I find it fascinating and enlightening to read this author’s presentation of the intricate details of biological activity that helps facilitate the generative activities involved in creating our world and our experience in it.

Second, our neural-laden heart has a myriad of neural connections with the body and direct, unmediated neural connection with the emotional structure of the brain (from which comes the new and popular subject of “emotional intelligence,” our brain’s translation of that nonverbal, gestalt type of knowing: heart intelligence). These neural connections allow an ongoing dynamic interchange to take place between the brain and the heart quite beneath our awareness. Heart intelligence is not anything of which we are aware, though we surely are aware of the results of these neural interactions. I am reminded of James Carse’s wonderful essay “The Silence of God” and Gurumayi’s comment that “the language of the heart is silence.”

The third level of influence of the heart on the brain is hormonal, which led to the observation of “The Heart as an Endocrine Gland.” This was the title from the cover story of Scientific America concerning the French Physicians Roget et al., who discovered that the atrial area of the heart produces a hormone, labeled ANF, which can modulate and influence the functions of the emotional-cognitive system.

We do well to remember that in utero the heart, as vehicle for the frequencies of our potential world experience, forms first; the brain, as a vehicle of our awareness of those frequency translations, forms second. The heart is intimately connected to every facet of the body and the brain through its own neural extensions. As a result, the intelligence of the heart, not the intellect of the brain, has to contend with those signals from the pancreas, liver, spleen, and so on, to maintain order in the ranks. This leaves me, up here in my head, free to dream of dancing nymphs; or to growl about the foolish ideas of preachers, lawyers, politicians, or books by any authors.

Your Heart’s Electromagnetic Field

A large segment of the earth’s electromagnetic spectrum is its radio band, and this may be true of the heart as well. The heart, earth and sun furnish us the fundamental materials of our reality-making. The heart’s em field, like that of the earth, shields us against inappropriate frequencies as best it can, and selects from the larger hologram in which are nested those frequency groupings appropriate to our growth, development, and ongoing life. In this way what is broad, generic, and universal is expressed on an intimate, personal level, making each of us, even “the least of these our brothers,” equal expressions of the totality. Thus, if we have the vision, we will see all things as “holy” or whole, as William Blake did, or “see God in each other” as Muktananda did, or find God in the “least of our brothers,” as Jesus did. Anything that is holographic is just that, a graph of the whole — and each of us is that.

Because of, or through, this holographic hierarchy of em fields, our heart and brain frequencies can entrain [synchronize] to modulate earth’s frequencies to an unknown extent because what we perceive as earth frequencies are translated through our reptilian hindbrain and its sensory-motor system, and the higher can transform the nature of the lower. This accounts for the concrete operational thinking that opens for development around our seventh year. According to Piaget, in concrete operational thinking thought can “operate” on matter, or sensory signals, and change it according to the intent of the thought. This offers us a dominion over our world that we have not yet accepted or exercised, but which our great model demonstrated for us. (emphasis added)

Power is relative to the creative process. A minute shift in frequency in our brain can result in a serious shift in our experience of the world out there. At some point on this spectrum, our experience and the world we experience are reciprocal. The dynamic of creator and created is a play of power and strength we participate in by default and a play we might try to become more aware of so that we can be more conscious of what we are doing.

As I have elucidated in previous posts, the true and literal meaning of “dominion” is lordship, its Latin root “dominus” meaning lord, which indicates the presence of a sovereign offering the governance of Love. This is the opposite of “domination” which exercises power and control based not in lordship and sovereignty but in egoistic imposition of human will over others in one’s world — the current male-dominated governing practice of self-centered human beings — and humanity as a collective body. The excerpt above touches into the very core of our relationship with our environment, and especially with the Natural world — which is not there for our pleasure and sustenance alone but is very much our ordained responsibility to care for and multiply with fruitful abundance. “Be fruitful and multiply” were our Creator’s words of blessing as He/She sent Man, male and female, forth into the Garden of Eden, according to the Book of Genesis.

AI AND TRANSHUMANISM

The interview with Gregg Braden was very thought provoking. Just thirty minutes into it I had to pause and take in the implications of what he was laying out as the choices we are facing today in the rapid movement toward “Artificial Intelligence” and what is being called “Transhumanism.” It all sounds wonderful and productive — or scary when you consider the tradeoffs implied but not talked about among technocrats nor mentioned in some kind of caveat.

Braden speaks of the tradeoffs: “Are we willing to give over our humanity to technology before we have realized what it is to be fully human?” . . . in exchange for fast-speed computer chip processing of information to give us instant answers and gratification? That’s what it would amount to, and in my book it’s not worth it.

Humanity is being given an existential choice between transcendence and transhumanism — remembering that everything that we program computers to do, or that they can do on their own, we have the power to do, and do it even better — and with pleasure and a sense of satisfaction, something AI doesn’t afford us, nor transhumans can experience.

MAN CONTINUES TO FALL

So why on God’s green earth would we give up our capacity for emotional enjoyment of life’s many pleasures, our feelings of empathy and compassion for one another, our intuition, our spiritual quest for transcendence? Artificial Intelligence, leading to transhumanism, would do exactly that. Bringing forward a statement I made two posts ago reflecting on a sentence from Pearce’s book:

“Intellect, however, can function independently and can take over the circuitry and block our heart’s more subtle signals” not a very intelligent thing to allow one’s cerebral intellect [or the technocrats] to do. Therein lies the cause, I do believe, of man’s problems — as well as the likely cause of man’s “Fall” from grace and loss of Paradise.

Some years ago — when the computer was making its debut into the world of information processing — exercising my divining vision, or foresight, to peer into the future, I predicted that the legendary “Fall” of man would continue beyond his tumble down into the animal kingdom and proceed downward into the mineral kingdom where he would meet a brick wall made of silica, having fallen a far down into the earth as was possible. Not insignificant, his ongoing fall beyond death into sheer oblivion is being escorted by his intellect. By relegating our intelligence to a silicon chip, we may be relinquishing our capacity to think critically for ourselves and question everything coming down the pipeline of the news media, for one thing — and where we begin to rationalize such things as war, for example.

I don’t know how many noticed a comment made a few days ago on PBS World News about arms dealers supplying ammo to both sides of the war over Ukraine. Who are these arms dealers if not merchants of the Military Industrial Complex President Eisenhower warned the world against eighty years ago at the end of the Second World War. Wake up Americans! Listen critically to what you’re being told by corporate-owned news media.

Gregg Braden couches the theme of his interview in the context of a war waging between good and evil, between light and dark forces, over our humanity. Why our humanity? Because, as he points out, our humanity, equipped with a heart, is the only means by which we have access to the powerful forces of our divinity within us and return to God, to the Light of Love, the mortal enemy of the fear-mongering warlords.

OUR DIVINITY

There’s a passage in The First Book of Adam and Eve (from The Forgotten Books of Eden, edited by Rutherford H. Platt, Jr.) which I would like to bring into this consideration. It has to do with our divinity, our “bright nature.”

Then God the Lord said unto Adam, “When thou wast under subjection to Me, thou hadst a bright nature within thee, and for that reason couldst thou see things afar off.  But after thy transgressions, thy bright nature was withdrawn from thee; and it was not left to thee to see things afar off, but only near at hand; after the ability of the flesh; for it is brutish. . . .”

Our “human divinity,” as Braden calls it in the interview — more accurately our ability to “see” afar into the future — is an attribute of our “bright nature” — that aspect of Divine Being, or God, which we are as angels incarnate. In peering up the road ahead, we can see with our spiritual eye the wonderful possibilities prepared for us and poised to descend from God out of Heaven into the Earth. With our “brutish” human eyes, we can only imagine and predict the future based on our past track record and present experience — from which we don’t seem to learn anything, but continue in our insane ways.

While I see where we’re headed as a human species based on our past record and current behavior, the bazar creatures these technocrats are busy concocting with their AI and transhumanism — robotic humans to replace self-willed and spirit-empowered Human Beings — will never come to pass. There are too many awake and aware human beings, conscious angels present and shining light into the darkness exposing the dark forces that would destroy God’s creation and enslave human beings to do their bidding. It simply will never happen on a global scale.

There are a billion more angels incarnate on this small planet than were originally designated. They’ve come here from other star systems to lend a vibrational hand in the transformation of Humanity. There’s a lot of light shining in the world today. The darkness cannot comprehend the light, but the light-workers and the whole world can see the dark forces. They are being exposed and will try to hide. But they cannot hide from the light of love and truth.

I believe what I see with my Single Eye: a New Earth being born out of the New Heaven already prepared for us on the banquet table of Divine Consciousness. Look up and go up. Look down, but only with your eyes, not with your heart. Keep your heart looking upward. With your spiritual Eye keep looking up to see and receive what is coming from out of the East into this Garden planted Eastward in Eden, and looking down only to see where it wants to land and to help co-steward its manifestation with others. I believe this is why we incarnated at this historic time. Until my next post,

Be love. Be loved.

THE MORE I DELVE INTO HEART-BRAIN BIOLOGY, the more I just have to stand back and revel in amazement at the miracle of life happening in our physical bodies. My heart overflows with appreciation and love for such writers as Joseph Chilton Pearce who have the insight into the minute details of our biology and physiology and the desire and willingness to take the time to write a book and share their explorations and insights. They must be as awestruck as I am in the presence of such awesome precision, beauty and harmony.

In this excerpt from Pearce’s book, THE BIOLOGY OF TRANSCENDENCE ~ A Blueprint of the Human Spirit, we touch into the interface and intercommunication between the lower and higher electromagnetic fields — what Cynthia Bourgeault calls the “Exchange between the Realms” in her beautiful book EYE OF THE HEART” (Parenthetically, it’s appropriate that I’m writing about the heart while having a cardio event called “atrial fibrillation.”) Without further words from me, here’s the excerpt. Enjoy the thinking with your heart.

I must pause here to reflect for a moment on the triune Spirit of God that moves through the Creative Process to bring forth a human being: Love~Truth~Life creates the Heart~Mind~Body continuum of a Human Being in that order. How wonderful is that! The heart is created first, the Spirit of Love’s dwelling place in the Body Temple. Next the mind emerges from the embryonic form to give the Spirit of Truth the means for providing its wisdom of design and control for the developing fetus. This opens a clear and orderly path for the Spirit of Life to inspire the fetus with its Breath, having everything above in place for coherent and meaningful function of the angel about to incarnate from out of the Realms of Light into the dark, wet mass of protoplasm. I write poetically about our incarnation and commission in SACRED ANATOMY~ Temple of the Loving God. *

Of course, that is what SACRED ANATOMY is all about: learning to use our human capacities with an understanding of their design as a temple of the Living God.

Continuing with Joseph Chilton Pearce’s excerpt:

I am drawn back to another insightful book, “BIOCENTRISM” by Dr. Robert Lanza, who explores the quantum world where creation is suspended in a preform wave matrix awaiting observation by a living being in order to drop down into the concrete world of particle formations. I share his research and develop it in the added section of my book. Here’s just a preview of what I consider pivotal and germane to an understanding of our role in the Creative Process:

I see an overlapping here of the insight of the two authors, the one who sees a probability of em-sensitive glia cells selectively drawing “from the hierarchy of em fields surrounding us and translate these em frequencies into electrochemical signals available to those neurons, thereby furnishing the information from which our neural system builds our world experience” and the other seeing wave in the higher quantum field of Boehm’s “implicate order” become particle in the lower “explicate order” simply by being observed. There is transcendent magic taking place at the very edge of the frontier of creation moment by moment in the eternal now — and that’s where we belong and have our being as co-creators of our world.

Before signing off on this post, I would like to give you some “homework” (no exam will follow) for your spare listening and learning times. The video linked below will take you to an interview of New Your Times best seller and geologist Dr. Gregg Braden by Andre Duqum, during which Gregg will speak to the issue of Artificial Intelligence in a most insightful manner and optimistic tone. I will preface the link with this brief excerpt which I transcribed from the interview.

A New Age has come and we are on a path forward to the creation of the New Earth. I will comment on this interview in my next post and I am keenly interested in your comments — which you can send to me by email. I’ll leave you to ponder these things and to return next week to explore how the heart exercises dominion over brain-body systems in a Unified Field of “fields within fields.” Until then,

Thinking with Your Heart

The Heart Nebula

I found this chapter in Joseph Chilton Pearce’s fascinating book “The Biology of Transcendence ~ A Blueprint of the Human Spirit” most interesting and enlightening, as the following excerpt from his book demonstrates. The heart-brain appears to penetrate the entire body through its network of neural ganglia.

Through long axons, the spinal cord, and the peripheral nervous system, one aggregate of the heart’s neural ganglia connects to the myriad smaller neural ganglia found scattered throughout the body’s tissue, muscle spindles, organs, and so on . . . .

. . . Other aggregates of the heart’s neural structures have unmediated neural connections with the emotional-cognitive, or limbic, brain, “unmediated” meaning here that no ganglia interrupt or interpret the communication between the heart and emotional-cognitive brain in the way that they do between the heart and the other bodily organs and muscles. An ongoing dialogue takes place between the heart and brain through these direct neural connections.

THE HEART IS BOTH UNIVERSAL AND INDIVIDUAL

Years ago my meditation teacher in India, Gurumayi, pointed out that there is essentially only one heart, a universal function expressing through each of us in infinitely varied yet similar ways. This one heart is the universal in our life, and our life is that heart’s diverse expression. Perhaps this is one reason that heart transplants are feasible to a certain degree. While critical neural connections are lost in the transplanting process and can’t be retrieved, other traits may be picked up that we haven’t bargained for, such as some personal idiosyncrasies of the donor. Any heart may take on the color or characteristics of the unique individual in which it functions. Thus, following a transplant, heart transplant recipients occasionally begin to express new characteristics similar to those of the deceased donor. (Lest we get too carried away by this observation, consider that the same phenomenon occurs occasionally in transplant of other organs, such as kidney. Our new biology points out the continuity and coherence throughout all the spectrums of energy in a being—each part contains, at some level, all the information of the whole.)

The heart takes on the subtle individual colors of a person without losing its essential universality, however. It seems to mediate between our individual self and a universal process while being representative of that universal process. The dynamic between the universal in the heart and the specific variant in the head is, of course, the recurring theme of this book. Meister Eckhart made the audacious claim that when “God becomes Eckhart, Eckhart becomes God.” The Sufi Ibn Arabi claimed that God takes on the coloration of each of the infinitely unfolding personalities and is simultaneously each, without any change to God-as-God. Thus, Ibn Arabi pointed out, each name is a name for God, each object is a “face” of God. My meditation teacher Muktananda’s favorite phrase was “God dwells within you as you.” His teacher, Nityananda, spoke of “God dwelling in the cave of the heart,” and urged us to “go there and roam with him.” These quaint sayings are taking on a new light of biological support and may have to be considered a bit more seriously.

This speaks to the Genesis account of the creation of man where God said “Let us make man in our image and after our likeness” (emphasis added). However, the creation of man was not a one-time event but continues in the creation of man in the womb to this day. As divine creator beings, we each form our bodies in our own image and after our own likeness to accomplish our individual mission and purpose for incarnating — an insightful view, which is for me an updating of my understanding of this aspect of our co-creative roles. I touch upon this in the new section of SACRED ANATOMY, now being published in its FOURTH EDITION and soon to be released.

I do enjoy how this author frames the capacity of heart where true understanding takes place. Also how the feelings and attitudes held in the heart affect our physiology and behavior. For example the negative impact that fear has on the human immune system — which is actually comprised of an alliance of organs, glands and tissues, the heart having connection with every part of our anatomy and physiology. By the same token, love and gratitude have a positive and empowering affect on the entire body. This emphasizes the simple way by which the Spirit of God is able to “roam” throughout the body temple via this heart substance.

Once again recall Eckhart’s observation that there is no being except through a mode of being. For the universal torus of potential energy-consciousness to be actualized or made real, there must be a mode of and means for such actualization. For us, the heart is the primary mode of being and all else in our life springs from it. The end result is a heart that generates species-specific characteristics that we all share, yet reflects the personal characteristics of each brain and its experiences to make for a unique expression of shared form. The interaction of these two aspects—the universal and the individual, unity and diversity, creator and created—results in a human being that is the same as all others but different too, and a world that may be as different as that of the Australian Aborigine and technological man.

The kind of world we experience is determined largely by the feedback we receive from energy fields and how that information is perceived and interpreted within our heart-brain network. Here’s how the author lays out the process.

A step-by-step explanation of the biology of this process of creation of individual-yet-universal man might look something like this:

  1. Our brain, with its ganglia extensions throughout the body, is, figuratively speaking, an instrument of the heart.
  2. Our brain, in turn, is an instrument or representative of the universal function of life itself.
  3. Our brain and body are manifestations of that universal heart’s diversity, or individual expression. Brain and body are fashioned to translate from the heart’s frequency field the information for building our unique, individual world experience. The brain and body then respond to the resulting perceptual experience and determine or interpret its quality. This qualitative analysis, or emotion, is relayed back to the heart, moment by moment. This influences the heart’s own neural field, which responds to the emotional report and relays it to the field of its origin, subsequently changing those fields, if only on a minuscule level.
  4. In response to the brain’s reports, the heart also changes its own neural and hormonal signals to the body and the brain, and to the production of that em field of information itself. The changed neural, hormonal and em action then influences the kind of world we experience.

We live in an environment of feedback or “mirroring” in which creator and created give rise to each other both within us and outside of us.

THE DIALOGUE  BETWEEN BRAIN AND HEART

Over many years of research under grants from the National Institutes of Health, John Beatrice Lacey traced the neurological connections between the brain and the heart. Their discovery of these connections and the ongoing heart-brain dialogue was largely ignored by academic science. Today the new field of neurocardiology has verified and validated the Laceys’ work, which means that in time acceptance will follow.

The heart certainly has an intelligence, though this calls for a new definition of the word to differentiate it from cerebral intellect.  The heart’s intelligence is not verbal or linear or digital, as is the intellect in our head, but rather is a holistic capability that responds in the interest of well-being and continuity, sending to the brain’s emotional system an intuitive prompt for appropriate behavior. Intellect, however, can function independently and can take over the circuitry and block our heart’s more subtle signals.

To better understand the brain in our heart and the concept of an intelligence or wisdom of the heart, we need to understand a bit about the nature of glial cells, which accompany neurons and are as important to the brain as they are to the heart.

LIFE OR DEATH? IT’S OUR CHOICE

This sentence opened a portal to a deeper understanding of human function: “Intellect, however, can function independently and can take over the circuitry and block our heart’s more subtle signals” — not a very intelligent thing for one to allow one’s cerebral intellect to do. Therein lies the cause, I do believe, of man’s problems — as well as the likely cause of man’s “Fall” from grace and loss of Paradise.

The Heart is the Garden of Eden where the seeds that bring forth Paradise are sown, nurtured, germinate and grow to manifest Life’s many colorful forms and fragrances. When the human ego steals and commandeers the intellect and takes over the circuitry of life, baring the heart from offering its more subtle and wise signals, it isolates itself, the individual and the collective Body, from Source by shutting down the current of the Spirit of God through the circuitry, the flow of the River of Life itself. The Spirit of God, Love, dwells in our hearts, in the One Heart of Mankind. Death, as promised by the LORD God, is the ultimate price men pay for functioning solely out of human intelligence with no regard for the wisdom and intelligence provided by the Heart. Man dies individually and will die collectively if he stays the course in his current isolated behavior.

The human intellect, by playing God, falls out of the current of Spirit that brings forth life, in the end evaporating into thin air, with all its “knowledge of good and evil,” when the body that gives it its very existence dies of starvation from the fruits of the Tree of Life. The fruits of the Tree of Life are: patience — tranquility and mental focus — the power to realize and manifest creation — the ability to see God through a purified heart — radiant expression and experience of the Spirit of Life — design and control inherent in the wisdom of the Spirit of Truth — and oneness with the All in the Spirit of Love. The Tree of Life that produces these gift of Spirit is available only through the heart. Shut off the “subtle signals” of the heart and you shut down the spiritual energy inherent in the circuitry of life.

The choice of life and death is ours and ours alone. God did not drive man out of Paradise. Man turned his heart and face away from the Creator and found himself out on his own in Eden-turned-wilderness from a lack of the care its appointed keeper has failed to provide. Man needs only to turn his collective face back to face the Creator — repent, make an about face, and see that truly Paradise is at hand and awaits our co-creation and loving care as One Heart, One Mind, One Way. The Way of Love.

I will continue in this series to consider the nature of glial cells. So, stay tuned. Until my next post,

Be love. Be loved.

THE MERKABA

TO WALK ACROSS A BED OF RED HOT COALS requires a generous amount of absolute confidence and faith that one’s feet will not get burned and therefore no pain will be experienced. This is an example of what Joseph Chilton Pearce, author of THE BIOLOGY OF TRANSCENDENCE, A Blueprint of the Human Spirit, calls “unconflicted behavior,” which engages a biological response that allows one to utterly transcend one’s physical and material circumstance and live in another dimension beyond space and time.

Unconflicted behavior opens us to a freedom from doubt but does so only when we are free of doubt of any sort to begin with—a true catch-22: Because unconflicted behavior occurs only when we are free of doubt, opening to and unconditionally accepting the state are simultaneous, not linear, events and so are not subject to any form of logic. That is, the sudden, intuitive hint of the actuality of unconflicted behavior was not like a question asking me if I was willing to allow the state or to go along with it. Rather, the opening of this state coincided with my instant acceptance of it without qualification.

Carlos Castaneda’s metaphor of a “cubic centimeter of chance” suggests a rather wide margin for the nanosecond speed with which this opportunity opens and closes, almost like a single pulse we must fall through at the instant of its opening. This is why that greatest model of unconflicted behaviors, Jesus, urged us always to be aware and awake—we never knew at what instant It, or He, or Whatever might come.

Mindfulness, being completely in the moment where you are, present-time consciousness are all ways of describing wakefulness and awareness. The author goes on to relate personal stories of extraordinary, superhuman behavior he has experienced that defied logic and reason. I suspect that some rock climbers could tell similar stories.

The way Pearce describes his several unconflicted events it’s like something or someone takes over his behavior and performs flawless feats of accomplishment—like processing bank checks at a bank clearinghouse where he worked operating a check-proofing machine while he took a break or a nap and then closed-out well before his fellow bank workers. But let’s hear the story in his own words:

Immediately I was  seen  as  the boy wonder. What no one knew was that I never closed out at each individual packet of items as required. In fact, I didn’t close out and check my balance until the end of the night when the shift was over, as to do so would awaken me, break the flow of things, and result in errors. Instead I continued operating straight through, and for something like three months I ran more items than anyone else without making any errors at all. This was nearly unbelievable to everyone, including my supervisor—for the “force” did such superior work that I was given a raise.

Sleep, however, was my true bonus [he was attending university and working nightshifts] and my carefully guarded secret—until one morning when my supervisor discovered by chance that I had closed out and balanced only at the end of my shift. From his response you might have thought I had violated his mother! But an error among those fourteen of fifteen thousand items could have taken all day to trace out and though no errors had occurred, I was threatened with immediate dismissal if I did not close out regularly as required. My explanations were limp and unconvincing to say the least, and with anxious eyes following my work from that point on, I had no choice but to comply. The result was that I made errors, ran fewer items, and slept through my classes all day.

Closing-out was part of the greater issue of unconditional trust in my unconflicted behavior to run the machine — closing-out would have been, in effect, to doubt, and such doubt would cause me instantly to revert to my usual conflicted state.

Joseph Chilton Pearce

Another story from his book tells about the time he climbed an “impossible” sheer and unstable dirt cliff that had an overhang, his legs hanging straight down toward the beach below as he propelled his body over the top at the utter disbelief of his friends. Unconflicted behavior can empower us to do extraordinary things.

UNCONFLICTED CONSCIOUSNESS

I’m looking at this phenomenon and thinking of it in terms of human consciousness and our creative potential. From what the author of this book and these stories say and demonstrate, doubt and fear are the only barriers holding us captive from achieving the state of unconflicted behavior. The conflict itself stems from trying to serve two masters, as a biblical passage describes what in effect is double-mindedness: “No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon” (Luke 16:13). When used in biblical texts, the word “mammon” refers to wealth and money. It can appropriately refer to fear and doubt.

“Perfect love casts out fear.” Serving God includes obeying the First Great Commandment to love the Lord our God with all of one’s heart, all of ones soul and all of one’s mind, and the second, like unto the first, to love one’s neighbor as oneself. Upon these two commandments hinge all the law and the prophets. As we actually abide by these two commandments, we will soon find ourselves united as one Body of Humanity. The Body of God in action on Earth.

There is a resurrecting spirit at work in the hearts of men and women the world over. It’s the Spirit of Love and it is drawing together a unified body from the four corners of the Earth—and it’s not coming together under the banner of an organization or a religion, but is rather an organism of parts that blend and work together in a state of accord and in a naturally coordinated manner, empowered as it is by the One Spirit of Life. One Life, one Heart, one Way forward out of the valley of the shadow of death and up the rising mountain that is the living Body of God in action on Earth. These words express the essence of our oneness:

This is a Body in which all the cells play their unique parts without being concerned with what others are doing in their roles; in other words minding one’s own business and not imposing one’s opinion as to what or how others are or should be playing their parts.

It is also a holographic organism in which each cell in the Body is a complete model of the Whole Body of which it is an integral and essential part. At a transcendent level of shared Divine Consciousness, individuals are aware of the roles others are playing and seek to coordinate their activities with others so that a state of harmony is enjoyed.

In essence it’s a network of friends in God who love one another with unconditional acceptance and appreciation. It was through my connection with others in this Body, this network, for example, that I was empowered to publish a fourth and revised edition of my signature work SACRED ANATOMY ~ Temple of the Living God ~ A contemplative study of the human body as a temple of worship and an instrument for creation. (Soon to be available though my publisher Wise Publications.) Creativity comes naturally and easily when we’re connected with our Creator and with one another in the One Body of the Creator. A friend and spiritual brother in South Korea recently described it as dancing with our Heavenly Father within. Such a dance is joyful, he went on to say . . . so long as we let the Father lead in the dance. Life, then, is simply about learning the steps.

PATHS TO TRANSCENDENCE

There are many paths to transcendence today; so many that one could surmise that the Universe is going all out to tell us that it’s time to rise up out of the old and into a new state of consciousness. Let’s look at a couple of them.

THE MERKABA

The MERKABA is an ancient mystical symbol for light (Mer), spirit (ka) and body (ba). It is a spiritual activator and brings access to higher consciousness. You can learn more about the use of Merkaba in your meditation practice here.

Sacred Geometry Symbol for Spiritual Awakening

The Merkaba is often associated with transformation, ascension, and the expansion of consciousness. It represents the interconnectedness of the spiritual and physical realms, serving as a vehicle for spiritual evolution. Also known as the “light body” or “chariot,” some believe it enables individuals to transcend their physical limitations and access higher realms of consciousness. It’s also seen as a symbol of protection and a tool for meditation and energy work. It’s believed to harness divine energy that shields against negativity and promotes well-being.

ATTUNEMENT AND SACRED SOUND WORK

2009 WORKSHOP AT SUNRISE RANCH IN LOVELAND COLORADO

Attunement and Sacred Sound work are two wonderful paths to transcendence, and there are many others in the field of holistic healing and consciousness evolution. I’ve offered workshops and published my research in ATTUNEMENT WITH SACRED SOUND ~ The Magical Use of Sound in Energy Work and Healing. (Now available from my publisher, Wise Publications. It’s also available from Health Light Publishing in St. Augustine, Florida.

HEALING SOUNDS INTENSIVES

I have participated in Jonathan Goldman’s Healing Sounds Intensives, which were powerfully transforming experiences, especially toning with a hundred sound healers, some doing harmonic overtone chant while others toning harmonic pitches, altogether creating harmonies that actually created a Merkaba around the class participants. I highly recommend his CD’s, especially one called “ULTIMATE OM” and another “THE DIVINE NAME” to play during meditation. I use them as a carrier-wave for spirit and intention with my long-distance Attunement service. His most recent release, “The Humming Effect” is a powerful tool for transcendence. Most everyone can hum.

SHIFT NETWORK

Another source is the Shift Network with a host of transformational teachers and intersessional guides, such as Gregg Braden, Michael Beckwith, Dr. John Beaulieu, Dr. Sue Morter, Ram Das, Andrew Harvey, Dr. Jean Shinoda Bolen, Raja Choudhury, Grandmother Flordemayo, and many other beautiful people.

A FAST TRACKSPIRITUAL EXPRESSION

Spiritual expression — the expression of the Spirit of Love and its many qualities in living — is, without question, the most direct path to transcendence one can take. Simply by being thankful, a quality of Love, lifts one above one’s circumstance at hand. Complaining about a troubling circumstance drops one down to the same level as the circumstance. One doesn’t have to be an Einstein to know “We can not solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them.” An attitude of gratitude brings altitude . . . and transcendence!

If you have enjoyed this post, I welcome and invite you to tune in for another post in this series on THE BIOLOGY OF TRANSCENDENCE. Until my next post,

Be love. Be Thankful

THE WAY I SEE IT, Jesus was never not in complete and utter control of his physical body throughout the ordeal of His trial and conviction, the mockery of being crowned with thorns, spit upon and flogged, the carrying of his cross through the streets of Jerusalem and up to the hill of Golgotha, even through the crucifixion and apparent death of His physical body. The silver cord of connection with his body was never loosed or severed. In the end He simply transcended his physical body and rose in consciousness to what spiritual author Joseph Chilton Pearce describes as the “causal body”— with which He may even have had an NDE (Near Death Experience). At least this is the way I see it.

This was not unique to Jesus, as we each have a causal body, only it’s not so much a “body” as an essence of spirit. That spirit is who we are, and it is not a separate entity from God the Creator, any more than the Son of God was separate from His Heavenly Father. As He truly proclaimed in John10:30: “I and my Father are one.” So is it with each and every incarnate Being. To come to a conscious awareness and actual experience of that oneness with our Creator is the challenge of our earthly journey.

At the age of eighty-four I’ve become peculiarly and intensely interested in transcendence. I wasn’t aware of this interest until I inadvertently withdrew a book from off the shelf of our library and opened it to the author’s final chapters where he addresses what is now the very topic of this blog post: Jesus’s transcendent experience, otherwise called and celebrated as his “Resurrection” from the tomb — where, from all outward signs, his “dead” body was placed, wrapped in a shroud of white cloth, anointed with precious healing oils and laid to rest. What occurred after Joseph of Arimathea and a few women had laid his limp body to rest in the tomb, rolling a stone over its entrance, is a process I am compelled from within my heart to meditate upon and explore in a series of posts.

The Holy Shroud of Turin, with its scorched image of Jesus’s entire body imprinted on it, provides ample cause to contemplate what awful transmuting fire must have moved through His body to resurrect the living currents of vital energy that could lift it up to a higher vibrational level of manifestation. His resurrection was at the same time clearly a supernatural and a biological event of transcendence and transmutation.

RISE AND SHINE!

Yes, indeed, shine your light! But you first must rise! To “rise” is another matter altogether. It’s a required step toward shining. In a transcendent state, to which we all aspire, one’s light is found to have always been shining — only not outwardly — until one rises up in consciousness and identity to the level of one’s “causal” body where one’s radiance is the light of one’s world.

I can easily relate to Joseph Chilton Pearce’s perspective of “bodies within bodies”: physical, subtle and causal. From my own spiritual path the word “pneumaplasm,” coined by Lloyd A. Meeker (Uranda), serves my understanding best as descriptive of the “subtle” body. The “causal” body lives and moves independent of the physical and subtle bodies, whereas the subtle body, or pneumaplamic body, is generated out of the physical body as the causal body of spirit expresses its divine qualities with feeling, thought and action of a benevolent quality. Spiritual expression brings about the release of the transforming power of love — the only way open to human beings today as the physical and mental approaches failed miserably.

Again, my spiritual path defines the “causal body” simply as “spirit.” Spirit is divine in nature. Physical and subtle bodies are by nature human. The two are brought together when spirit incarnates and transmits its godly characteristics and benevolent qualities to the human person for expression. Patterns of design and control for the unfolding of one’s earthly journey are also established in the subtle body (pneumaplasm) for the execution of dominion over one’s world. Not domination but dominion.

The word “dominion” derives from the Latin for “lord”: dominus. Dominion is exercised by the lord incarnate whose “body” (of sorts) is causal by divine design, exercising dominion over the physical body, and by way of the body over ones world, in a benevolent, loving, non-imposing manner. Domination, to the contrary, is exercised by the human ego that has taken possession of one’s mental faculty in order to force its contriving and self-serving will upon one’s physical body and one’s world. It’s an apt model of David Hawkins’ Power VS Force –The Hidden Determinants of Human Behavior.” They’re not so hidden to one who has risen in consciousness and in identity to the level of spirit in one’s causal body — causal in the sense of creator and designer of the physical body.

“I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD.”

Prince of Peace

The Master Jesus spoke those words just before his passion and crucifixion on Calvary. His exact words as recorded in John 16:33 are, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”  He transcended His physical body and maintained His identity with His causal body, which in his case was and is our Lord and King, the “Only Begotten Son of God.” Having complete control over His physical body via His subtle body, He did not let it die. The Only begotten Son of the Father was not sacrificed for the sins of the world, a rationalization Paul later contrived, nor for any other purpose rationalized subsequently in Christian dogma. He overcame death by not dying. He then proceeded to raise up his comatose physical body, transmute it to a higher vibration so as to fuse it with His causal body, His very Being, and return to His Father in Heaven — after spending forty days with His disciples eating and drinking with them and bestowing upon them His benediction of love and comfort. These things of spirit are beyond space and time. They are truly and literally timeless.

There is much to share along these lines revisiting Joseph Chilton Pearce’s THE BIOLOGY OF TRANSCENDENCE ~ A Blueprint of the Human Spirit — author of THE CRACK IN THE COSMIC EGG. The book is filled with quotable passages that have the ability to bring about a radical shift in perspective. His chosen character on which to shine light is Jesus himself and his passion and compassion, as the following excerpt demonstrates.

THE BIOLOGY OF TRANSCENDENCE by Joseph Chilton Pearce

I like the way he speaks his truth. I’ll share more along these lines in my next post of this series. Until then, have a Happy Easter Day.

⁕ ⁕ ⁕

I AM THE SPIRIT OF JOY and I am come to speak in this Moment in Eternity through my faithful servant in the beauty of holiness, for I am holy, and I am beautiful, as are you and as are we all. I spoke once before through my beautiful servant Kahlil Gibran and I said this in his heart and he wrote down what I said in his heart. And this is what he wrote:

And a poet said, Speak to us of Beauty. And he answered: Where shall you seek beauty, and how shall you find her unless she herself be your way and your guide? And how shall you speak of her except she be the weaver of your speech?

⁕ ⁕ ⁕

The aggrieved and the injured say, “Beauty is kind and gentle. Like a young mother half-shy of her own glory she walks among us.” And the passionate say, “Nay, beauty is a thing of might and dread. Like the tempest she shakes the earth beneath us and the sky above us.”

⁕ ⁕ ⁕

The tired and weary say, “Beauty is of soft whisperings. She speaks in our spirit. Her voice yields to our silences like a faint light that quivers in fear of the shadow.”

⁕ ⁕ ⁕

But the restless say, “We have heard her shouting among the mountains, And with her cries came the sound of hoofs, and the beating of wings and the roaring of lions.”

⁕ ⁕ ⁕

At night the watchmen of the city say, “Beauty shall rise with the dawn from the east.” And at noontide the toilers and the wayfarers say, “We have seen her leaning over the earth from the windows of the sunset.”

⁕ ⁕ ⁕

In winter say the snow-bound, “She shall come with the spring leaping upon the hills.” And in the summer heat the reapers say, ” We have seen her dancing with the autumn leavers, and we saw a drift of snow in her hair.”

⁕ ⁕ ⁕

All these things have you said of beauty, Yet in truth you spoke not of her but of needs unsatisfied, And beauty is not a need but an ecstasy. It is not a mouth thirsting nor an empty hand stretched forth, But rather a heart enflamed and a soul enchanted. It is not the image you would see, nor the song you would hear, But rather an image you see though you close your eyes and a song you hear though you shut your ears. It is not the sap within the furrowed bark, nor a wing attached to a claw, But rather a garden for ever in bloom and a flock of angels for ever in flight.

⁕ ⁕ ⁕

People of Orphalese, beauty is life when life unveils her holy face. But you are life and you are the veil. Beauty is eternity gazing at itself in a mirror. But you are eternity and you are the mirror.
