“The Chalice of Collective Sovereignty”— Restoring Camelot

♦ ♦ ♦

“I hear people everywhere saying that the trouble with our time is that we have no great leaders any more. If we look back we always had them. But to me it seems that there is a very profound reason why there are no great leaders anymore. It is because they are no longer needed. The message is clear. You no longer want to be led from the outside. Every man must be his own leader. He now knows enough not to follow other people. He must follow the light that’s within himself, and through this light he will create a new community. You see, wherever I go in the world, this to me is a general trend. I am aware of the fact that there are already people in existence today—take us—who really belong to a community which does not yet exist. That is, we are the bridge between the community we’ve left and the community which doesn’t exist yet. —(Laurens Van De Post, A Walk with a White Bushman,” 1986)

My Chorale PicDemocracy, as we profess to practice it here in America, is not working. Leadership from above-down is being rejected globally as people are awakening to their own inner spirit guidance. The paradigm of leadership has shifted from top-down governance to governance from within the individual, and the grassroots community.

In truth, we do not have a democracy here in America. Democracy is grassroots government: “Of the people, by the people and for the people.” Our government leaders are elected to serve “we the people.” They are our employees not our bosses, yet as a whole they do not serve the interests of the people but are beholden to their campaign donors and lobbyists. So, in reality, we do not have a true democracy here is America. What we do have in Washington, and on Wall Street, is a cartel of corporations enabled by an aggressively lobbied congress and empowered by an ambivalent, dictatorial, narcissistic president. It’s a legal entity called “Corporate America,” and its enterprises are raking in massive profits on the backs of “we the consumers.” A paradigm shift is due and in the offing.

That shift will not come, however, without trade-offs and radical change.  One trade-off is the relinquishing of our addiction to oil and to all the “stuff” produced by Corporate America.  Liberty Mutual Insurance has a sensible slogan: “Only pay for what you need.” We do need clean energy . . . and we could do without all the “stuff” we buy but don’t really need. We don’t really need wars, nor space travel.  We do need to take care of our own here at home.

Another trade-off is the obvious need to let go of our old-school ways of being told what we can and cannot do.  In other words, the safety net that lets us feel secure within the boundaries of “the law”– a law that has lost its sanctity as those in high places skirt around it, largely with impunity. The fact that the U.S. Supreme Court holds the position that a sitting president cannot be indicted on criminal charges speaks to the provision in our government for a dictatorship.

So, letting go of the way we’ve felt “safe” within a law-based governance is a challenge in light of the fact that not everyone has yet awakened to their inner spirit guidance. While there is wisdom in not burning all our bridges just yet, there is greater wisdom in building new bridges to the future, bridges that are vibrationally supported by the shift in cosmic energy toward a new paradigm of leadership.  Because, as the new paradigm emerges, as it will, the old paradigm will continue to fail us, eventually collapsing altogether, leaving us to our own devices in a state of anarchy, if only for a transitional period.  So, we are hesitant to let go of “the devil we know” in lieu of the one we don’t — and rebellion is not the answer.

Where cities like Paris, France, and Hong Kong, China are in a state of turmoil as their citizens march in the streets in violent protests against injustice and corrupt leadership, only death and destruction will ensue.

The world has had Martin Luther King and Mahatma Gandhi who have set the tone and the precedent for real change through peaceful non-compliance and non-violent resistance.  Legendary Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh led the movement of non-violent resistance in Vietnam until he was exiled. He taught compassion as the only way to end terrorism.  These men arose from out of the grassroots of the societies they sought to rescue from the murderous hands of bigots and tyrants.

This kind of leadership can be seen emerging throughout the global community today.  This is what author Diana Durham speaks to in her book The Return of King Arthur, from which I have borrowed these excerpts for inclusion in Sacred Anatomy

Speaking of her own personal transformation within the container of an intentional spiritual community that went through a transformation itself in the wake of the passing of its spiritual God-parent and leader, Diana writes:

THE CHALICE OF COLLECTIVE SOVEREIGNTY

There is a great fear of losing the sword—a fear of losing the tradition and forms that have embodied the truth for us, and a desire to try to preserve them in some way—to disobey Arthur’s command.  Twice Sir Bedivere, that most loyal and trusted knight, tries to hide Excalibur before finally obeying Arthur and throwing the sword into the lake.  After all, if we don’t preserve the sword, we might lose everything . . . .

Very often this is the way. The injection of spiritual reality brought by the great avatar, like Jesus or Buddha, one who is able to pull the sword of power, of spiritual authority, back out of the stone of fixed belief and tradition and wield it as a living reality, is turned after their death into a religion, a series of beliefs, a tradition.  And people warm themselves on the little spark that still glows in the embers of that tradition, but they don’t inherit the mantle of spiritual radiance. They have not become entrained into the understanding of what it really means to “Worship God”; they have not completed the quest . . . .

. . . . Thanks to Guinevere and Morgana (the heart’s wisdom), Excalibur is not destined to become a sacred relic of past glory “stored in some treasure-house of mighty kings.” The heart’s instinctual knowing of what is right has overridden the fears and the structures of the mind, thus ensuring that Arthur’s true legacy—the legacy of potency, of truth, as represented by his sword— has become a living possibility available within the subconscious mind for us all to draw on.  It has not fossilized into a tradition for the elite to fight over—whether a political elite or a priestly elite; it is beyond the reach of corruption, and can only be accessed by the innocent and the true. Thanks to the quest for the Grail, thanks to the heart’s compulsion to take on one’s individual path and authority, the Round Table could become what it was a promise of.  Our network could be transmuted from a community into a new and potent consciousness of oneness.

This is why no matter which thread of the plot we retrace to uncover the cause of Camelot’s downfall, we find ourselves staring into the face of the feminine, whether it be the actions of Guinevere and Morgana or the quest for the Grail itself.  Only the heart’s wisdom knows how to take us from symbol to reality and carries the passion and assurance that will allow the “old order” to change and find renewal.

So we can begin to approach the meaning of the fulfillment of the Grail quest from a number of different—but related—angles. First of all, the finding of the Grail . . . means that the sense of personal separation from inner source—which I have also called the Grail King energy, love, or God—is healed.  Once this happens, our dependency on a King Arthur mentor figure ceases, and we begin to live our lives from a direct sense of what fits, of what is ours to do.  We can trust the compulsion of our heart because the heart realm is now operating as a direct “transmitter” of our own inner being and purpose.  In this way, the heart realm is the place of connection, or oneness, with God or spiritual source, and once that consciousness of union with source is a grounded reality within us—once the ego that thinks of itself as the center of the universe is no longer dominant—then there is a basis for connecting deeply with others. The heart realm becomes the means of connecting with others, with one’s “neighbor.” Therefore, we also begin to share a sense of oneness with one another, and a sense of being—hologram-like—parts of a whole that also contain in miniature the design of the whole.

The sense of oneness with others, combined with the ability to discern direction for ourselves, enables the other meaning of the Grail to emerge, which is the aspect of collective leadership: the circle of many individuals forming one body.

Collective leadership is not possible while we are still dependent on a mentor figure both for our own sense of spiritual alignment and for a sense of direction.  Nor is it possible unless there is a sense of oneness to bind us together—as well as the ability to discern for ourselves (as opposed to being subject to “peer pressure”) what our actions need to be.

We remember that the individual sword—or sense of authority—is earned by going on a quest for the Grail.  Perceval is given the sword on his first visit to the Grail Castle.  The return of Arthur in a form of the return of many individuals wielding their individual swords—in other words, the condition of collective leadership—cannot come about until the Grail is found and this collective consciousness is formed . . . .(pp. 203-206)

The Grail is found in the legends, and finding the Grail symbolizes not only the individual experience of openhearted connection to spiritual source in oneself but also the emergence of the possibility of collective leadership.  When Arthur throws that sword into the lake, a woman’s hand reaches up to take it. A new opportunity has been fertilized: a new union between masculine and feminine, and the emergence of an era of collective sovereignty. When we talk about the rise of the feminine we are describing a crucial aspect of this new era. Obviously this new possibility has been emerging for some time in the form of the suffragettes and the women’s movement.  Closely allied with the struggle for equal rights for women was the civil rights movement in the United States. Leadership has been rising up from the grassroots, bringing immense changes and balancing out some of the injustices of society’s myopic structures. Collective leadership implies both the roundness of the chalice cup—without hierarchy, containing all—the feminine; and the absoluteness of the sword, the element of individual responsibility required for true leadership: the masculine. (pp. 6-7)

What Durham is describing here is a renewal process of the Pituitary Gland that appears to be underway, both within individuals and the collective body of Man.  As masculine/feminine energies find a way to work in harmony and balance within us as two in agreement in the Spirit of Love, individually and collectively, the Spirit of the Womb can then work its hormonal and alchemical magic of renewal on the planet. Camelot can then be restored where men and women partner together to provide a home for God on Earth.

This post brings this series on the spiritual significance of the pituitary gland to a close. I trust you have gained a deeper appreciation for your sacred anatomy. I will leave you with this powerful interview of Thich Nhat Hanh by Oprah Winfrey.  Until my next post . . .

Be love. Be loved.

The Pituitary’s Role in Building Community

“To love another person is to see the face of God”

This past Labor Day weekend, Bonnie and I watched PBS’s presentation of Les Miserables in concert format and enjoyed every minute of this powerful musical. Jean Valjean’s (Alfie Boe) last words before dying still resonate in my heart: “To love another person is to see the face of God.” Wow! My eyes teared up as he sang this line, as they did throughout the story.  I was moved by the music and the songs, especially when Fontaine (Lea Salonga) poured her heart out in “I Dreamed a Dream,” and Alfie Boe, with his rich baritone voice, sang “Bring Him Home.” But then, I’m a softy and tear up easily when sweet and caring words are spoken and acts of extraordinary generosity are portrayed in movies. Some scenes simply touch a tender spot in my heart of longing for life in our world to be as beautiful and full of simple acts of kindness and appreciation as portrayed in movies such as this.

I am blessed to have someone close to love and to share life with. It’s a privilege I do not take for granted—although it is granted. Bonnie and I both acknowledge that we are truly a gift from Life to one another, a gift for whom I am deeply thankful, especially as we age together in a high-tech world that seems to be leaving us behind, and dear friends and family members are departing.

We have been gifted by Life in the many friends we’ve come to know over the years. I marvel at times at how we are naturally, though magically, drawn together by Spirit, occasioned by common interests and sheer resonance at times, and remain connected in spirit, though miles and oceans apart. We are clearly part of a global spiritual community that abides and serves the One in the larger Body of Man at a level clearly above the physical, yet includes the physical.

We are drawn together by Love, just as surely as the cells of our bodies are drawn together by Love and arranged by perfect design to function together in a controlled and purposeful manner as a true community—thanks to our wonderful Pituitary gland and the Spirit of Truth focused here— and the Spirit of Love focused in the Pineal gland . . . and the Spirit of Life focused in and by the Thyroid gland (which I will write about shortly) . . . and all of the other glands of our endocrine system that provide their unique focus for Life in the body.  The word focus is the operative word here for the theme of this post, in which I am happy to share this except from my book SACRED ANATOMY.

A Collective Body

Whether we are aware of it or not, our function on Earth greatly impacts the balance of creation throughout the solar entity, just as the function of the Pituitary determines the balance of energy and chemistry in our bodies.  How we use this sacred seal is crucial to the outworking of creative cycles throughout the body, as well as our relationship with others in our worlds.  It is designed to honor and give focus for the Spirit of Truth.  We use this seal correctly when our passion is for the truth of love in our momentary living.

It is the prayer of many who have vision, and who offer themselves as spiritual mentors these days, that we all become conscious of our true identity as angelic beings and aware of our mission and heavenly purpose so that we might play our parts with genuine authority in our collective role of wise stewardship, exercising loving dominion over the balance of Creation on this planet.  A global awakening to this reality in the collective has occurred over the past few decades.  What is being called for today, I feel, is a certain meekness of mind, a willingness born of true humility to be teachable and to explore together what is required of us during these historic and crucial days of completion and new beginnings as we move into the new millennium.  When the mind is meek and teachable, still and open to explore new possibilities, the heart may feel free to open up and start trusting its perceptions and, more importantly, sharing its perspectives and understanding. It is with the heart’s discernment that we feel our way through the darkness in this world.  It is with her understanding and perspectives, based on spirit rather than structure, that we will forge a path to the “world waiting to be born” Scott Peck envisioned and wrote about. This is what true vision is.

It has been said, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” It also follows that where there is vision the people flourish. It is important, then, that those with vision, those who know and know that they know, by virtue of their own living the truth of love, come forward to shed light into the darkness of human misunderstanding and confusion.  This is happening on a grander scale now than ever before.  Everywhere I turn I see individuals living and speaking their truth with authority and assurance, even if not with pristine clarity as yet. There is much more to come in the way of purity of heart and clarity of understanding. There’s no need to put this process on hold, however, until the heart is fully purified.  As each one puts his and her piece of truth into the collective container of consciousness, the picture continues to clarify for all.  It is the shining of one’s light that the capacity for shining is transformed and clarified, as well as grows.

To use a biblical metaphor, one does not light a candle and place it under a bushel but in a place where it can be seen by men and where it will light up the entire room.  We all have a part to play and everyone’s part, without exception, is essential to the whole picture and to the inevitable outcome of the cycles of change presently underway on Earth.  No one will remain untouched or unchanged by these re-creative cycles that are bringing us all together as One Body for the One Spirit we all love and seek to serve more fully.

In our love for the One and for one another, the true design of spiritual governance through a pattern of harmonic focalization would naturally begin to be unveiled and fleshed out on a basis that is acceptable to all who keep their I single in the Spirit whose design it is.  That Spirit is not an elusive, inaccessible entity, but rather is closer than breath.  It differentiates itself through each one of us, as it does in the natural world around us, in focalized patterns.  Life is an organizing force that brings order and harmony out of chaos and confusion. The Universe attests to its creative genius.

We each focus a unique aspect and frequency of Spirit. We are drawn toward—and we draw to ourselves—those with whom we naturally resonate in Spirit at the core of our hearts. This is what I mean by harmonic focalization. To use a musical metaphor, some of us sing melodies in the life of a community and others of us sing harmonies around them. Those of us who usually sing harmonies sometimes find ourselves singing melodies with others, who perhaps usually sing melodies, gravitating toward us to harmonize—or coordinate—their parts with us. This is the organism rather than the organization model.  It’s the way things work in the Universe to achieve anything genuine and organic.

Nothing could be achieved in the physiology of the human body but anarchy and pandemonium without the focus of the Spirit of Love in the Pineal Body and the nurturing coordination of the Spirit of the Womb in the Pituitary gland. So is it with the collective body of humanity. Where Spirit is focalized and its differentiations coordinated in a pattern of design and control, the collective body temple comes together as a unified expression of divine love to provide a Home for God on Earth.  This, I believe, is the healing the Body of God on Earth is in dire need of today, a process that appears to be underway.

I see a collective Body Temple rising in our midst today composed of  incarnate beings of light the world around, men and women who have remembered who they are and why they are here, who give their utmost care and attention to the sacred in everyday life.  All are invited to play a role in this temple, be it large or small.  The Earth itself is being recognized once again for the Sacred Temple it provides for the continual praise and worship of the Creator in this Solar Entity, this Cathedral of the living God.

Speaking of individuals emerging who carry a current of love for truth in their writings, my friend and poet Diana Durham’s book The Return of King Arthur, which is written around the theme of the quest for the Holy Grail, a myth full of symbolism that points to the reality of human experience, past, present and future, may well be the single most important book at the dawn of the New Millennium, certainly among the top ten. The author names, like no other author I have read to date, where we have been and how we have been wounded, where we are now and where we are headed—and naming the wound is the first step toward healing.  Her chapter eleven, “The Chalice of Collective Sovereignty,” is a must-read for every awakened human being on the planet at this time of global transformation and transition out of the old and into the New Era. I simply cannot resist sharing just a few of the many morsels of her wisdom here in this consideration of the collective body, and as a fitting closing to our meditation on the roles the Pituitary Gland and Spirit of the Womb play in our body temples. –(from SACRED ANATOMY)

Due to their length, I will publish the excerpts from her book in my next post, concluding this series on the Spiritual Significance of the Pituitary Gland.

To my followers and readers

I seek to speak truth to a compromised state of human consciousness in my writings. To the extent my words are received by you my readers, they convey my spirit into the collective consciousness and my purpose for writing and blogging is thereby accomplished. For that I am deeply thankful to God for you and for all who follow and read my blogs.  Feel free to share my posts with friends as deemed fitting.

Blessings,

Culling and Purification by Resonance

“The prince of this world cometh, and findeth nothing in me.” (Jesus)

I would like to pause in this series to focus on purification of the heart, mainly because it’s what we’re going through, individually and collectively, as conditions in the global climate, and in world politics, heat up. In the physical body, purification is a function of the Thymus gland and immune system — which we will consider later. In the spiritual body, purification takes place in the heart.

 OF SHEEP, GOATS AND WOLVES

There was good reason why shepherds mixed goats in with their herd of sheep in Biblical days. The reason was to protect the sheep from being attacked by wolves. It seems the strong body odor of the goats provided a protective shield around the herd, acting as sort of a “wolf-repellent.” I guess wolves don’t particularly like goat for dinner, or being gored by their pointed horns.  Whatever the reason, wolves tended to stay away from sheep herds that had goats mixed in with them. Upon returning from the grazing fields to the corral, the sheep were culled out from the goats and placed in separate enclosures — thus the Biblical parable of the shepherd separating the sheep from the goats.

CULLING BY RESONANCE

Today we are experiencing the reality portrayed by this parable, only the culling is by resonance. It’s vibrational and it works through the heart. “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.”

The full passage from James Allen’s book reads:

“As a man thinketh in his heart so is he.” As the plant springs from, and could not be without, the seed, so every act of a man springs from the hidden seeds of thought.

Those seeds of thought lay dormant in the heart and spring forth in resonance with a vibration in an outside source — a teacher, for example Jesus, or a spiritual guru — or, in the case of a terrorist, a radical ideology.

In musicology the principle of resonance states that when a single tone is played, that tone will find a similar and sympathetic frequency in another instrument and cause it to sound,

THE TONE OF POLITICAL RHETORIC

Resonance occurs between all vibrating substances, including people. We tend to gravitate towards people who “strike a chord” in us, as we say. That’s resonance — and here in the US there’s been a lot of resonance experienced in us as we’ve listened to the rhetoric coming out of Washington DC these past few years. The fact is, our resonance with the tone of that rhetoric, and lack thereof, has served as a culling factor in calling us out and amplifying the split in our Nation right down the middle into right and left “camps.” Not “right and wrong” but simply “right and left” — conservative and liberal — and there are degrees of conservatism and liberalism. We have the “far right” and the “far left,” and the “moderates” in between these two extremes.  We are divided and separated from one another by our political views — our resonance with different ideologies and views — none of which are worthy of us,

Before we got separated into camps, we were all mixed together, like the sheep with the goats, and we respected one another’s political views and orientation. Not anymore. Unless you are prepared to meet the repercussions, you are wise to avoid bringing up politics at a family gathering.

EVANGELICAL RHETORIC

This holds true with the topic of religion as well – perhaps even more so. There’s nothing more vexing to my spirit than evangelical rhetoric. I was brought up Catholic and truly believed that only Catholics would go to heaven when they died. All the other religions were outside the circle of “chosen ones.” I used to preach this narrow and misguided view trying to convince others that, if they wanted to go to Heaven, they needed to become Catholics. I was a “staunch Catholic,” even an aspirant to the priesthood. But I was not being a Christian. A true Christian would love people just the way they are and respect their beliefs.

My awakening came when a wise teacher told me with a compelling tone of authority: “You are not a Catholic. You are a human being made in the image and likeness of God.” Shortly after that surprisingly resonant encounter with primal truth, I stopped being a Catholic and set out on a path toward learning how to live life as an authentic human being made in the image and likeness of God, with love, respect and compassion for all – “believers” and “nonbelievers” alike.

RESONANCE REVEALS WHAT’S REALLY INSIDE US

Resonance is a good thing, as it exposes and releases the hidden patterns of thought and feeling that spur our behavior. It lets us see what’s really inside ourselves and gets it out here where we can observe it, bless it, and take steps to change the way we think in our hearts.  In this sense, it’s a blessing, for instance, when feelings of fear and hate are triggered by what someone says, or preaches from their political lectern — or what we see on social media and hear in the news. Only we do not have to act on those feelings.

I recall a television interview with Dr. Depak Chopra, a highly regarded and beloved spiritual guru. It was during the 2016 presidential elections when Donald Trump was rising to take the helms of our Nation’s government. The interviewer asked Dr. Chopra what he thought about the hate and fear-mongering rhetoric pouring out of this man’s mouth on a daily basis. Depak’s countenance immediately changed as he began formulating his response. He said that he experienced real fear for the first time and it shocked him. The fear in his heart had been hidden from him until this moment in time. He expressed utter dismay in its eruption, triggered up in resonance to the tone of Donald Trump’s rhetoric.

RECLAIMING CAPTIVE ENERGY

Then he shared his realization of what was taking place vibrationally and proceeded to demonstrated how he handled the fear as the mindful person he is. Rather than let the feeling consume his outer being, he observed it with love and embraced it with compassion so as to transform it and reclaim the energy it was holding captive back into the Whole. I was utterly amazed and edified by his mastery and humility.  Even the greatest among us have hidden thoughts and feeling reactions in our hearts that can and will resonate with similar thoughts and feelings in others when they are vented with passion.

Then he said something most profound and prophetic. He said that the repercussions of Trump’s rhetoric had knocked the lid off of the collective unconscious and has released all sorts of ill patterns of thought, feeling and unwholesome spirits that have lay dormant there for eons. Those unholy patterns of thought, feeling and behavior are finding expression through the masses and being acted out, particularly by those who resonate with the tone of Trump’s rhetoric.

The lid is off the id and anything can happen . . . not just here in America, but globally.  Apocalypse — a revelation of what has been hidden, of truth and of deception — is happening.

LET NOT OUR HEARTS BE TROUBLED

Take heart, however, for we can seize the opportunity to let our hearts be cleansed of hidden ill thoughts and feelings that are triggered up, so that when the “prince of this world” comes, it finds nothing in us that resonates with its dissonant hateful tones. These ill thoughts and feelings are held in distorted patterns by energy that has been leached and stolen from the Whole, from the Source of all energy.  Stolen by the human ego, the self-active human mind, which is bringing great wrath to bear on the earth and humanity because it knows that its days are numbered and it has but a short time to exist in its present self-centered state —  and it resists transformation and redemption. In the metaphor above, the wolf is the self-active human mind, the prince of this world, and he has learned to come in sheep’s clothing.

LET THE HEART BE PURIFIED

We all have a mixture of sheep and goat in us — of true and false beliefs and convictions, of good and bad spirits and attitudes, and buttons that get pushed. Perhaps we have hidden our true convictions behind traditional and conventional beliefs and attitudes in order to avoid judgment and criticism, or inciting an argument with friends we don’t want to lose. Real friends are precious, though rare. Or we criticize and judge so as to appear “only human” in the sight of our peers. My point is that we have a mixture of both pure and vile in us that keeps us, in appearance anyway, out of range of the  wolf’s “evil eye,” so to speak; and there is no one eligible to throw the first stone.

COMING CLEAN OF BELIEFS

Whereas I do my best to respect another’s beliefs, short of imposing mine on others, I have come to make no excuses for my own convictions gained by experience of truth in living life beyond my prior beliefs. Truth does, after all, free us of our beliefs.  Should the wolf come, my Spirit will be my “shield and buckler.” There’s no need to defend my truth, nor my Self.  Action may be appropriate, but not defense. The true shepherd steps forward to protect his sheep from the wolf when there are no goats in the herd. The pure of heart see God, see the good in all. There comes a time when one simply cannot hide behind convention and tradition any longer. “Let the chips fall where they may” has served as an appropriate attitude. We can come clean of our beliefs, the ego’s feelings not withstanding.

WHAT IS THE EGO ANYWAY?

The Ego is simply our sense of self; the capacity with which we are consciously aware of who we are. The word “ego” is Latin for “I am,” as we learned in high school. We have been taught that we are “only human.” But that is our human ego speaking. We are Human Beings, and our Being is divine, made in the image and likeness of God. We can begin the process of remembering who we are by changing how we see ourselves, not as “merely human” but as Human Beings, as Divine Man, masculine and feminine. That is the truth of the matter. Our sense of self, our ego, is being called to “come up hither” and give us the capacity to know who we truly are, our Divine Self.

RESONANCE WITH THE TONE OF LOVE UPLIFTS

OM in a drop of oil

Speaking and acting out of love, expressing the qualities of Being, such as peace, thankfulness, and compassion, we sound a Tone with which those who have resonant substance in their hearts can resonate. With many now so living and expressing out of love, a line is drawn upon the Earth based on resonance to the Tone of the Seventh Angel’s Trumpet.

That Angel visited this planet two-thousand-plus years ago and set the Tone for the culling of the body of Man on Earth. Those who resonate with the Tone of Love rise up in joy. There is no need to judge those who do not resonate with Love but who yet resonate with fear and hate. That’s not my business. The Lord would that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance and turn from their orientation in the material world and discover their spiritual orientation and true identity as sons and daughters of the Father and brothers and sisters to one another.  It is my prayer as well.  But let us not tarry, as time is no more.

Until my next post, when I will resume sharing excerpts from Sacred Anatomy, let your beautiful light shine,

Anthony

The Stone That Scientists Rejected

“I have thrown fire on the world. Look! I watch it until it blazes….Whoever is near to me is near the fire. Whoever is far from me is far from the Kingdom.” (Jesus, The Gospel of Thomas: 10 & 82)

Continuing in this series, I come to the gift of my meditation on the Spiritual Significance of the Pineal Gland: the realization of its strategic position in the center of the brain from which it speaks Love’s commands to all the cells in the body temple via the network of nerve fibers and the six hormonal glands located in strategic places in the body.  Like the Great Commandment of Love upon which all other laws and the prophets hinge, the entire endocrine system of our sacred anatomy is oriented in the Pineal Gland at the seventh and highest level of union with the Divine Presence in the temple of the living God on Earth.

Significance of the Cornerstone

One of the key elements of the presence of this One who dwells in the midst lies with the secrets inherent in this “little stone.”  The Pineal is “a stone cut out without hands,” rejected by men of science for many decades as being insignificant and irrelevant to any important or vital processes in the body.   This “stone which the builders rejected . . . has become the cornerstone of the temple.”  In truth, it has been so from the beginning. What comes to focus by virtue of this tiny gland, the Spirit of Love at the physical plane of being, is even now bringing about a transformation of the body of Humanity.

It is, without doubt, by divine design that the Pineal gland is situated between the two hemispheres of the brain, where all the structures of beliefs, concepts, busy and ambitious thought processes and images of gold used in building and maintaining this empire and civilization are held sacred. Here this little stone, with its radiant field of love, is in the most strategic position to strike the great image of this mind-made empire on its feet — made of a mixture of truth and deception.

The feet symbolize the capacity of understanding.  The image’s feet were made of a mixture of iron and clay, substances which do not bond together. They also represent the foundation upon which this mind-made world stands and the mental under-standing as to how it works and is maintained.  As that foundation crumbles, as it is doing today, all hell breaks loose, literally, as disorientation creates havoc. The foundations of human civilization are synthetic, composed of constructs produced by science, politics and religion.  It is held together, not by the power of Love and design of Truth which govern the natural world, but by the concepts and beliefs of those who rule the masses, and by the masses who worship these beliefs and concepts.

Those concepts declare, for example, that if someone has something that you need or want, you have the right to go to war with him and take it from him if you can, and that the lives of young men and women are dispensable to that cause and end. The whole world supports this belief.  The whole world is thus deceived.  The world’s concepts also declare that if someone hates you and seeks to do you harm, you have the right to hate him back and seek to destroy him first – an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.

Man’s civilization is governed by the laws of the Medes and Persians, with one exception. The laws of the Medes and Persians could not be altered.  The laws of this civilization can be changed and are changed when they no longer serve the needs and purposes of those who make them.  Fortunately for us the God of Heaven does not rule his Kingdom on the same arbitrary basis, nor out of convenience. The ordinances of Heaven that govern the kingdoms of this world are absolute and immutable. They hinge on the One Law of Love . . . and Love never fails.  Love radiates forth and substance responds, leaping to obey its irresistible commands. Community happens, bringing blessings to the whole and to all the parts that make up this Whole Holy World.

In other words, man’s civilization is founded upon an understanding of how hate, fear and greed can get us, as individuals and as nations and peoples, just about anything we covet.  The only price we pay is that we must, upon acquiring it, treasure it with our hearts and guard it with our lives or else someone will come along and try to take it from us.  For where one’s treasure is, there one’s heart is as well.

This is the basis upon which we have established life in this world and have learned to survive in it.  It is not the truth of how life is meant to be lived, and deep down inside our heart of hearts we know this.  At deeper levels, we desire companionship, trust, meaning and a genuine sense of purpose. There would likely be no coveting were these desires met in us individually and collectively.

Upon the very altar of our hearts we continue to worship the gods of gold, silver, brass, wood, stone —  and now oil, plutonium and the silica of the computer microchip — along with money and all the stuff money can buy. In return these gods give us fleeting power and control over our worlds and over others. We may praise the God of Heaven on Sundays — and at times when He comes through for us as in the story of Daniel — but we turn right around and resort to worshiping these other gods and appeasing them so that they will continue to deliver the material goods we so earnestly believe will bring us life, liberty, security and happiness.  In so doing we compromise our hearts and therein defile our temples.

This paradigm of understanding is being dismantled by the Spirit of Love now intensifying its radiance through the point of focus this little stone provides in the body temple. Those who find themselves drawing near to Love and leaving the world to its own devices are experiencing a transformation the likes of which has never before occurred in the recorded history of this planet.  Responding to the Spirit of Love, we find ourselves drawn toward love and toward others so responding.

As the radiation of Love increases and permeates the cells of the brain, it cleanses the atoms which comprise it.  The Pineal becomes a powerful magnetic center which draws all the atoms in the human brain into a pattern of service in the temple.  Its bio-magnetic force field, much like a computer’s default restoration program, erases useless programs in the memory cells of the brain.  Thought patterns that were once held sacred for the security they promised are become as iron mixed with clay as they no longer hold together. Beliefs that were once held sacred are suddenly seen as shams and levers for manipulation by commercial advertising and evangelists.  Belief in “the truth” gives way to the actual experience of Truth and the resultant freedom from these limitations.

These thought patterns and beliefs have been established by isolated and competing human egos. As these old concepts and viewpoints of how the world of man works crumble, giving way to new thought patterns born out of love for Truth, our world does not make sense any longer.  Nothing is certain anymore, as though it ever was.  We just believed it was because of the structures, the golden images in our brains.

As we no longer function out of fear, hate and greed, but begin to function out of love for Truth, the feet of this great image continues to crumble, for we the people are the feet of this great civilization, the “grass roots” as we are called in the political system.  When we change the way we see things and the way we behave toward God, toward ourselves and one another, and toward the natural world, then will the empires of gold, silver, brass, iron, stone and oil come tumbling down to be blown away by the wind of spirit in expression through us so that there will not remain even a memory of it.

The Spirit of Love is even now melting the feet of this golden image in the heart and soul of humanity through this little stone.  Speaking to us vibrationally through the Pineal, it is compelling us all to listen to its voice and heed its command:

Love one another as I have loved you. Do good unto those that hate you.  Love your enemies. . . . Do unto others that which you would they should do unto you.

The Golden Rule is returning to human consciousness, and its power is destroying the “laws of the Medes and Persians,” all by virtue of the radiant presence of Love focused in and shining through this tiny gland.  The changes are occurring in everyone at the same time even as I write because of one thing and one thing only: God loves each and every one of us the same and His Spirit of Love, even the Lord of Love who incarnated 2000 years ago, is with us and has been all these two thousand years.  What He set in motion then has now come full cycle. The victory is His and well at hand for those who believe in what He brought and do what He commanded.  Such are the friends of God who make up the Body of God on earth.

What He brought was unconditional love, the One Law upon which all other laws hinge.  He sounded the Tone of unconditional love and has filled the Seven Levels of Being with the substance of love.  He has opened the Seven Seals that are even now pouring out radiant currents of love into the hearts of human beings everywhere, bringing peace to hearts that are open and turbulence to hearts that are closed. Purification is underway in the temple of the living God. (Sacred Anatomy)

Kingdom of Fire

The quote at the top of this post is taken from the book The Gospel of Thomas, edited by Andrew Harvey and annotated by Stevan Davies. Stevan’s annotation on this passage sheds insightful light on its implied meaning:

The implicit identification of “fire” and “Kingdom” [in saying 82] is interesting. Something of the same idea is present in saying 10 as well….  Saying 10 implies a radical near-future change coming in the form of a cosmic conflagration sparked by Jesus himself. In accordance with saying 10, where Jesus has control of the fire that will soon blaze, saying 82 almost identifies that fire with Jesus and certainly identifies that fire with the Kingdom. One might therefore re-read saying 10 as “I have thrown the Kingdom on the world.”

The Kingdom of Heaven is said to be within us and all around us. It governs through our hearts where the fire of love empowers our creativity, and through the subtle energy that grows and manages the world of Nature. Even as the climate of the natural world heats up, so is the furnace of the heart of humankind being heated seven times hotter than it is want to be heated so that the bonds that bind us to the material world can be burned away, leaving us standing in the midst of the fire bound only to the One I AM standing in the midst.  Those who draw near to Love draw near to the fire of purification. This is great cause for rejoicing.

I will bring this series to completion with my next two posts. Until then,

Be love. Be loved.

The Pineal Gland, Crystal Portal for Incarnation

Blessed is one who existed before coming into being.                                                         (Jesus, The Gospel of Thomas)

I have often pondered the profound mystery of incarnation: how Being enters the Human form to oversee the operation of all its intricacies of function, growth, repair, movement, thinking, speaking, etc? Where is our portal of entrance, the “rainbow bridge” the Ancients speak of across which angels come and go between heaven and earth?

Perhaps a more profound question would be: Am I inside my body, or is my body inside of me, much like the Earth lives inside of a magnetic field of energy?

These musings invariably led me to the writing of  SACRED ANATOMY–where spirit and flesh dance in the fires of creationIn this post I will share another excerpt from my chapter on the Pineal Body.

My last post ended with a reference to the alchemy taking place in the human cranium and these words of Uranda:

When the Ancients spoke of that alchemy by which base metals were transformed into gold, they were expressing the Truth that by the Alchemy of Love-Spirit the base substances of the fleshly body are TRANSMUTED INTO THE GOLD OF SOUL, the MASTER-SELF WITHIN THEE.  (Steps To Mastership)

Hidden Manna

This sacred alchemy also manifests as sweet nectar.  One can taste it while in a state of ecstasy.  Intense currents of love move through this gateway in rhythmic pulsations raining down sweet manna onto the palate.  After such ecstatic experiences, one may feel so satiated that food no longer seems appealing, as something more nourishing than food fills the palate and nostrils with the delicate taste and aroma of ambrosia. Is this the “hidden manna” John writes about in Revelation?

To him that  overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.  (Rev. 2:17)

Uranda’s comments bear inclusion here as well:

The “hidden manna” is within thee, even the Fruit of the Tree of Life which is within thee.  The “white stone” is the renewed Pineal Gland which allows the Master Self full control of all activities, and he who attains thereto shall KNOW his “new name”. . . . That name which may be revealed to thee by others may have much Spiritual significance, but it is not thy ‘new name’. Unless thy ‘new name’ is thine own expression of THYSELF, it is not thy true Spiritual Name.

We had a name, an identity, before we were born and christened. We “existed before coming into being.” We are blessed in remembering who we are.

A White Stone

Inside the cranium there is much activity relating to light and sound.  It has been discovered, for example, that within the Pineal is a tiny crystal “. . . of sabulous (gritty) matter composed of phosphate and carbonate of lime, phosphate of magnesium and ammonia [afloat in] a transparent viscid fluid.”  This tiny white crystal is reportedly radiant with light energy for several minutes after death.  This discovery carries considerable spiritual significance seeing as how it has also been discovered that cells give off a flash of light as a means of communicating as well as when they die.

In his monumental work, Vibrational Medicine For The 21st Century, renown definitive authority on energetic medicine Dr. Richard Gerber describes what is being called today the “vibrational-medicine model” of the human body as possessing a more subtle communication system than that of the brain and nervous system wherein light is the medium for messages between the cells of the body:

Most information that the organs receive is in the form of chemical messages that help to regulate the function of each organ within the context of the body’s daily needs. But the organs and the cells making up each organ also communicate with each other using nonchemical forms of information-carrying messengers.

Light and Sound Technology

For instance, we now know that the cells of the body actually emit weak pulses of light. Those weak cellular light pulses seem to be part of a light-based communication system that helps to coordinate the actions of the cells within each organ. The pulses of light emitted by cells are just one of the many different informational codes the human body and its individual cells use to regulate the function of organs on a day-to-day and moment-to-moment basis.  Our cells communicate through the coded messages carried by hormones and biochemicals, as well as through electrical signals (such as those carried by the nerves of the body), and also through weak light signals. The cells of the body appear to have their own inherent intelligence that allows them to understand and use this coded information in its many forms in order to maintain the body in a state of health.

It is clearly  evident  that  light  plays a central role in the generation of life and in the maintenance of function and coordination within the body, and that the Pineal, nestled in the center of the brain and connected to the corpus quadrigemina—a part of the brain which relays light and sound frequencies and vibrations from the outside world to this inner most sanctum—is the appointed place of rendezvous between the light of the sun coming into the body through the eyes and the light of love emanating from the angel incarnate.  For here in this inner  sound  and  light  chamber are blended the seven-dimensional vibration of light, sent to the pineal by the hypothalamus with the seven-dimensional vibration of love.  The outer and the inner, earth and heaven, are unified as one.

The fact of the presence of retinal tissue in the body of the Pineal may well account for the pulsating colors some frequently see while the eyes are closed during meditation,  even when they are open at times. The light of love enters the temple through the violet colored lens of the Pineal Body. This photo-receptor is sensitive to the radiation of the light of love entering it from within and pouring through it into the body temple.  As this same light of love radiates outward through the eyes, it stimulates the rods and cones which then translate it into respective colors in the brain.  One may see colors of red, brown, yellow, green, blue and deep purple contracting and expanding around a sharp focus of violet light. At times one may sense that heaven’s portal will open up and allow one to peer right into the realms of light.  As the pulsations stimulate the olfactory bulb, the taste as of sweet nectar fills the mouth raining down like pulsing showers of honey dew.

Is this tiny gland perhaps the vibrational receiver and transmitter for communication between God and Man, the origin of the “inner voice” of intuition. . . .  Here surely is where the Creative Word is spoken by the angel incarnate, in concert with the LORD God: “Let there be Light!” And there is light, the light that is the life of Man sent forth into the body temple by way of crystal emissaries of light to bring the perfect patterns of design and firm control of life to each and every tissue cell, organ, gland and system.  In form and in function here is the very real and practical way by which the Word of Creation is spoken by the angel incarnate in his or her temple to maintain and re-create the body temple, as well as one’s world.

Transmutation of Flesh

The Pineal, then, may be said to provide a physical point for the radiant focus of the Spirit of Love, not only in these temples but in this world.  As a sacred gateway, it gives entrance to highly refined spiritual essences that purify and refine the courser substances that sometimes enter the heart—our sacred heart, because our heart is truly sacred to the angel incarnate.  It is a crucible for intensifying love’s regenerating power that makes all things new.  It is in our hearts that we know love and in that knowing experience a sense of oneness with the ALL.

As we learn how to keep our hearts open, yet contained and governed by love, so as to conserve and preserve its contents of golden substance, the transforming power of love brings about transmutation, thereby fulfilling its purpose and perfect plan for salvation in our body temples and in the world.  For clearly the purpose of the body temple is the incarnation of angels on Earth. The Pineal Body plays a key role in transmuting the physical substance of human flesh into spiritualized flesh for the angel’s ethereal body in this world.

For that transmutation to occur an arc of fire is needed. That arc is present between the positive centers generated by spirit via the seven endocrine glands and their corresponding negative Chakra centers. It is sufficiently hot in the inner sanctum of the brain, where the Pineal and Pituitary glands interact in highly-charged currents of spiritual energy, to transmute living flesh.

Uranda speaks of this so very beautifully in his Steps To Mastership, as well as in his book The Triune Ray. The transforming spirit of love creates the currents of life that move through our body temples by way of the working of the One Law of positive radiation and negative response, which attracts atoms into the transforming fire and brings them into a state of union with the Spirit of Love. This positive radiation emanates from the seventh level embodied by the pineal gland at the apex point in the physical body where the Arc of Life is created that runs the affairs of the Body Temple. That arc is initially established between these first two seals at the seventh and sixth levels. The Pituitary gland, with its masculine and feminine lobes, provides the initial pattern of response and yielded openness to the radiant ray of light emanating through the pineal gland.  All that unfolds hereafter in the physical body relates to the administration and governance of this primal current of life created and sent forth as a River of Life into the garden of the Temple of the Living God, and the returning ascending cycle that lifts atomic substance up into the body temple from out of the kingdoms of this world via the digestive system.

Portal of Entrance and Exit

As the caption of this post indicates, the pineal gland provides a portal for our entrance into this world, as well as our exit, as demonstrated in stories of near-death experiences where the soul is said to leave the body and  pass through a tunnel that leads upward toward a bright light. This “tunnel” is the “silver cord,” spoken of in the Old Testament of the Bible, that connects spirit with the body:

“Remember now thy creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say I have no pleasure in them. . . . Or ever the silver cord be loosed, and the golden bowl be broken. . . .  Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. . . .”

This passage in chapter twelve of Ecclesiastes gives graphic description of the ageing and passing of the physical form and the liberation of the spirit from its carnal limitations and return to its Creator.  The message is to remember who we are while we are young and before our memory begins to fade in old age, and the “golden bowl” of the pineal gland begins to disintegrate and fail to work its magic of alchemy.

The silver cord, generated by spirit, connects to the pineal gland up until the soul makes its transition and the angel releases the physical body back to the elemental world of ash from which it was created.

I will continue with this consideration of the spiritual significance of the pineal gland in my next post. Until then,

Be love. Be loved.

The Elixir of Your Immortal Self

Joseph Campbell’s “Hero’s Journey” is a quest for the “Elixir of Immortality.” The quest ends when the seeker finally realizes that what he is looking for is the one who is looking. That One is the Immortal Self, known when expressed in living — the only way you can know your Self.

You cannot see yourself, for a state cannot observe itself.  Whatever you can see isn’t you. You are the invisible One who is looking out through the windows of your soul at a world of motion and illusion, itself made of light and sound. Even you body is not you. It is your temple made of light and sound. You are the Immortal One incarnate in your temple of light. You can know your Self by expressing the qualities of your Immortal Self.

YOUR TRUE QUALITIES

The qualities of your Immortal Self are seven-fold. They are: patience, tranquility, blessing, assurance, radiance, wisdom and love. These are the gifts of Spirit. Each one is a step along the Way to your Temple of Light, the first step being Patience. Patience leads to Tranquility of mind. A tranquil mind leads to the Realization of the Blessing you are to your world. Being the Blessing you are, consistently, purifies your heart and brings Assurance that you are worthy of giving and receiving love — that love is who and what you are. Assurance brings the Radiance of Life to your body-temple and to your words and expression. Wisdom is the sixth gift of Spirit and the sixth step to the Temple of Light — the sense of what is fitting in each moment. Love, the seventh step, brings you fully into your Temple of Light where you know your Immortal Self as One with the All. I Am that I AM. I am the light of my world.

SACRED ANATOMY

You have spiritual anatomy for the expression of these qualities. You are equipped with seven endocrine glands that are designed to produce hormonal chemistry appropriate for the expression of your spirit in each moment of living, as well as the appropriate physiological action in your body. All you have to do is sound a tone that resonates with the Spirit of Love in your expression and the hormones needed for the moment are immediately secreted directly into your blood stream and throughout your body. It’s that simple.

You do not have to generate these qualities of spirit. They are part of your Immortal Self. They are who and what you are. To know and enjoy them in this temporal and mortal realm of Creation, you need only give them expression through your heart, mind and body. When expressed, these qualities of Spirit shape your world, as well as your perception of it.

I explore this spiritual anatomy in my book SACRED ANATOMY.  Here is the introduction:

INTRODUCTION

Over my forty-two years of service as a holistic practitioner, I have frequently meditated on and pondered the anatomy and physiology of the human body, noting in wonderment how in form and function it truly does provide a beautifully adorned and aptly furnished temple for worship, and more. I have noted from personal experience how the human body, fully serving its ordained purpose as a capacity for incarnation of divine being, not only manifests health but begins to give evidence of the presence of divine being. It becomes peaceful within and radiant with light.

From my early adulthood I have known innately that as it would be returned to its true and sacred service as a temple of worship, the human body would prove to be a most potent vessel, a holy grail, for uplifting the essences of atomic substance to the Creator, who made it for this purpose. It is simply designed that way. In such sacred service it would itself be lifted up to a higher and finer vibratory frequency for even greater service to the One in the Divine Design for Man. That greater service is the radiant outpouring of creative love that blesses and transforms whatever substance comes into its sacred space-a priestly function of incarnate divine being on this physical plane of the whole, holy world.

I have always felt that as we would see what is actually present with us in our own physical, mental and spiritual anatomy and physiology, we would have at least a beginning understanding of ourselves as creator beings. We would, therefore, have a better clue as to how we might function in such a way as to bring our incarnating capacities into a state of alignment with the creative power of love and in phase and harmony with the Creative Process that fathers and mothers it, along with all the myriad forms of life on earth. For the purpose of the human body is not separate from that of the Creative Process that has lifted it up from out of the dust of the ground of our Earth Mother and brought it forth through Her womb into the world for highly specialized creative work. It is part of that divinely ordered process as a sacred instrument of creation itself. Further, it is my deep conviction that as it would be used to embrace that work fully, this temple would continually enjoy not only the health that is its birthright but the ecstasy of ascension and union with God for which it was created in the beginning-no longer as dust returning to dust but dust arising unto splendor.

What follows in the pages of this book are the fruits of inspiration gleaned from my own medi-tations as I have pondered the beauty and sacredness of the human body and learned to work with its impeccable wisdom as a health care practitioner. My presentation will be in three parts.

First we will consider our presence as creator beings in these body temples — “angels”incarnate, each one, and all together as a collective body — and the divine technology at work in the design and construction of our bodies as powerful, creative instruments for the conveyance of divine light into the field of creation around us, utilizing the seven hormonal glands of the endocrine system in concert with the Chakra system. We will look at the design and purpose of these glands and Chakra centers as well as their function both as hormone generators and as sacred centers for energy transformation and release.

We will then enter the temple through the “Inner Sanctum,” hidden and protected within the sanctuary provided by the cerebral lobes of the brain. Here our focus will be on the first three sacred “seals” of the endocrine system which bring forth life in the temple. We will explore how much in our life experience is resting upon our right function in relationship to sacred energy.

Then, leaving the inner sanctum, we will explore the outer rooms of the temple and appreciate the alchemy at work through the various services rendered by the remaining four endocrine glands. Their work includes the radiant release and management of the creative current of love. They serve in officiating the “Ceremony of Ascension” by which are lifted up the responsive currents of worshipful tithes from out of the Natural World into a place of pristine stillness. It includes preparing the way for the creative command to be given by which the will of the One is done on earth as it is in heaven. Our role as stewards of the Creative Process is crucial to the Natural World and to life on this planet.

In the closing chapter, “Steps of Ascent,” we will examine the process of resurrection and ascension as modeled by the Master Jesus two-thousand years ago and the impact which his life has had on the body of mankind then and now. We will see our body temples in a larger context of ancient and biblical temple worship, as well as of the cathedral planet that is its home among the stars.

Our sacred anatomy offers a very powerful and personal theme for meditation. This book was written to evoke deep currents in the heart for the sacred in everyday life. I have endeavored to make it both profound and practical, as well as informative. Writing it has been a challenging and fulfilling undertaking. It has been challenging to the extent it is personal and therefore revealing of the heart’s secret and sacred places. It has been fulfilling because it has called out for over a decade to be written as a passion that longs to be spoken and a song that yearns to be sung.

We all possess cherished and well-protected beliefs and concepts, which are as numerous as the peoples, religions and cultures of the world. Yet there is only one infinite Reality manifesting through myriad forms. Meditations of the heart on infinite Reality are not always as neat and tidy as the finite words, concepts and beliefs the mind is accustomed to processing and entertaining. Therefore I ask you to discern for yourself the heart space from which I write, especially when our mental concepts and beliefs do not agree. As we abide in the spirit behind the words, I know we will find ourselves, for the most part, in a place of agreement, even though our beliefs may differ. The truth is what I seek to know and teach, along with the freedom such knowing brings, even freedom from concepts and beliefs about it — perhaps especially from such concepts and beliefs. If there is something you have read but just cannot seem to grasp, then simply move on and come back to it later. Perhaps your understanding will deepen as you read other chapters.

I trust that you will find as much inspiration reflecting on these things as I continue to derive working closely with the anatomy and physiology of the human body as a healthcare practitioner. Let us begin our journey, then, and set forth on our exploration of the colorful landscape and fine texture of our sacred anatomy. Let us walk together with unshod feet upon the holy ground and precious terrain of the sacred anatomy of this temple that provides a place of abode for the living
God.

“The Hero’s Journey”. . . . part 3: Dark Night of the Soul

Every hero’s journey has a dark night of the soul, when all seems lost with no path forward in life. A sinking feeling of hopelessness fills one’s heart. The specter of ending one’s life may even loom large in one’s thoughts. Of course, that is an option. There’s light at the end of that tunnel. Suicide among war veterans, even youth, is on the increase.

Today is “Good Friday” in the Christian world when the crucifixion and death of the man Jesus is once again mourned in a most peculiarly celebratory way.  One cannot even imagine what his dark night of the soul was like. His prayer to his heavenly Father gives but a hint: “Father, let this cup pass from me. Yet, not my will, but thy will be done.” The Gospels — though highly redacted by the political factors at work under the hand of the Emperor Constantine at the Council of Nicea — tell how he sweated drops of blood during his passion.  Assuming this is an unredacted account, I don’t believe anyone in the depth of their darkest night of soul can relate to such a depth of dread and fear.  In that sense, I don’t see where there is any “good” to celebrate on this day, except perhaps in the fact that he didn’t end his own earthly journey by taking his life.  He rather faced his nemesis, his greatest fears: failure of his mission by rejection, and death by crucifixion . . . and won the battle to go on and claim the Elixir of Immortality.  He rose above death to find eternal life, setting a precedent for all of mankind to draw strength and courage from while in the depth of despair and hopelessness. If we’re honest about it, suicide is a royal cop-out from facing life’s challenges . . . and we all  have them.

There’s a lesson to be learned from the proverbial bar of soap, which, when squeezed, will go up or down depending on which direction you point it.  When your circumstance caves in and the pressure of life seems to be pushing you down, if you look down, you’ll go down. Look up and you’ll go up. This is what the man Jesus did. He never stopped looking up to his Heavenly Father — which, according to his own words, was not up but within.  Look to your Father who is within you and go up into life, which is eternal.  Find courage and strength in these words: “You are loved more than you can ever imagine.”

DEPRESSION OF LIFE

I had an interesting dream last night.  I was giving a talk in a seminar about finding one’s path to a creative expression of life. The metaphor I used was that of a wall, of all things — but not a wall to keep undesirables out; rather a wall preventing one’s spirit from coming forth into expression of love and creativity. This, at a vibrational level, I believe is a root cause of mental and emotional depression, and there’s no drug for the dissolution of this wall. A vibrational, spiritual wall can only be dissolved vibrationally and spiritually. Love is the vibration and Life is the Spirit that, when expressed with joy and thankfulness, alone can dissolve the wall inside depressing one’s life energy.

There is a collective wall in the heart of the body of Humanity with many windows and doors created by individuals who are coming forth through it by expressing love and joy in their living. Because there are so many these days who are walking on through the illusory barriers in their lives and finding new life by dying to the old, this collective wall is crumbling and falling down, bringing the old world of deception we have known for eons down with it.

FIRE IN THE BELFRY TOWER

I feel certain that the fire that destroyed the ceiling, roof and the cross-bearing spire of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris this past week is a poignant symbol of this crumbling wall . . . a wall which exists only in the upper cranium of human beings as a mental concept and belief that heaven is “up there” somewhere, and one gets there by suffering through life’s “vale of tears” and dying a “good Christian death”– whatever that is.  Such nonsense and deception has prevailed on earth for too many centuries, even after the proclaimed “Messiah” spent his entire public ministry preaching that the Kingdom of Heaven is within us and all around us. He was crucified for proclaiming his divinity, and not by the Jews, as Christians believe and hold in prejudice against them, but by the people, the mob gathered in that public square on that fateful day who cried out “Crucify him! Crucify him!” To this day that cry is maintained by human beings who continue to crucify the expression of their own divine and authentic Self and adhere to the teachings of the Council of Nicea over those of the Master himself.  We continue to crucify our own expression of Divinity at Golgotha, the place of the skull. It’s ironic that the Cathedral fire started in the attic.

With all that is coming to the surface and being exposed in the Catholic Church today, I believe the Church is headed into its dark night of the soul.  A billion dollars were raised in just a few days to rebuild Notre Dame Cathedral in France, a nation whose people are out in the streets in protest against economic inequality and social injustice.  Yet none of that can rebuild the social and economic collapse in France, nor stave off the dark night of the soul of Christianity.

There’s a vibrational connection between the riots in the streets of Paris, as well as the scandalous pedofile activities in the Catholic Church, and the conflagration at Notre Dame Cathedral, the geophysical centerpiece of the city and the Mother of the French nation. Conditions in America and elsewhere are ripe for such a conflagration.  Only radical change in our beliefs and behavior toward one another can alter the course we have set for ourselves and our world. We will have our dark night of our nation’s soul. It will take that to wake us up and face our nemesis: ourselves.

Have a Happy Easter.

Anthony
