Twelve Cosmic Rays

“  . . . and out of the throne proceeded lightnings and  thunderings  and voices.”   (Rev. 4:5)

2017 DecemberWE’VE BEEN CONSIDERING COSMIC POWER and the role the Mineral Kingdom plays in grounding cosmic power in the Earth.  We saw how organic minerals ground and channel cosmic energy in and through our body-temples.  Let us read on in Sacred Anatomy and meditate on the mystery of life that unfolds through our body-temples.  Here’s the final installment in this series, which starts with a recalling of the last paragraph of the previous  post and Uranda’s instructions with regard to the Twelve Cosmic Rays:

In his Steps To Mastership, lesson thirteen, Lloyd A. Meeker (Uranda) gives instructions relative to what he refers to as the “Twelve Cosmic Rays,” among other sacred factors essential to the process of spiritualization, or transmutation, of physical matter, which are “sometimes spoken of as zodiacal influences which form the directing urges by which mankind functions on the physical plane.”  He then makes this revealing statement: “The points of contact within the body through which the twelve Cosmic Rays are enabled to transmit life to the body, are the twelve Organic Minerals found in the body substance.”

Uranda further instructs: “There is a Tree of Life on every plane of being.  The twelve fruits of the Tree of Life on the physical plane are the twelve body minerals.” He then goes on to say that all twelve minerals are needed for health in the body, which must be attained before one can be influenced by the Twelve Cosmic Rays. These twelve minerals and cosmic rays are represented by the “twenty and four elders” who stood around the throne and bowed down to the One who sat thereon casting their crowns down before Him. Cosmic energy is released in our bodies when these twelve minerals are present and their powers made available to the One I Am.

These organic minerals are: Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium, Potassium, Phosphorus, Iron, Fluorine, Chlorine, Silica, Manganese, Sulphur, and Iodine.  Their functions in the body temple are many and varied. All are essential to the function of the endocrine glands and the nervous system’s capacity to carry electrical current, as well as in the production of enzymes. All are instrumental in the ceremony of ascension in both the body temple and in the larger Cathedral of the Natural World.

Calcium’s function is to build bones and teeth, help with blood coagulation, reduce neuromuscular irritability and facilitate contraction of muscles and nerve conduction in the heart muscles. Magnesium is used in tooth formation, nerve conduction, muscle contraction and enzyme activation. It balances Calcium one-to-two respectively.  Sodium plays a large role in acid-base balance, osmotic pressure, blood pH, muscle contractility and nerve transmission. Potassium’s role is with muscle activity, nerve transmission, intracellular acid-base balance and water retention, and energy management.  It assists in escorting glucose into muscle cells for energy. Phosphorus in closely associated with Calcium and its functions with bone and teeth formation.  It is used in establishing and maintaining acid-base balance, is a component of nucleic acids and is involved in energy production.  Iron assists in the formation of hemoglobin and myoglobin, contributes to the production of certain enzymes and iron-sulphur proteins.   Fluorine is used in bone and tooth formation.  Chlorine is used in acid-base balance, osmotic pressure, blood pH and kidney function.

Silica’s chief role is in the alchemical production of bone tissue through a process of “biological transmutation.”  I suspect it also plays a role in memory storage, similar to that of the silica microchip in the computer.   It is believed that bones provide an atomic memory engram depository that contains the record not only of contemporary legacies but of ancient ones as well.  Manganese is essential to joint mobility and ligament tone, strength and elasticity. It is also vital to the function of the Pituitary gland and plays a component part in the makeup of manganese-specific enzymes.  Sulphur is an antibiotic that also helps with joint motility.   Finally, Iodine is essential to the production of thyroxine in the thyroid gland (T4) and triodothyronine (T3), both essential to growth and development.  It also plays a role as an energy-control mechanism and in fetal differentiation.

Not mentioned by Uranda are the seventy-two or more trace minerals that play empowering roles in the balancing of body chemistry, especially with the hormones.  Just to name a few of them,  Selenium, found in wheat germ oil, plays a key role as part of the Vitamin E complex in the cardiovascular system. Technically, Selenium is a component of the enzymes glutathione peroxidase, which metabolizes hydroperoxides formed from polyunsaturated fatty acids, as well as enzymes that take the iodine out of thyroid hormones before they are recycled.  Chromium is a trace mineral that promotes the utilization of glucose by the muscle cells, thereby supporting the glucose tolerance factor in the bloodstream.  Molybdenum is a transitional metal that forms oxides and is a component of a coenzyme essential to the activity of xanthine oxidase, sulfite oxidase, and aldehyde oxidase, enzymes involved in preventing toxic levels of sulfite, xanthine and aldehyde (such as formaldehyde) in the blood stream.

Magnesium, which most Americans are deficient in, and the trace mineral Gold are essential to balanced and clear mental function.  The presence and function of Gold in the brain is not surprising in light of the presence of the focus of Love in the Pineal.  The trace mineral silver is a protective element that vibrationally alters pathogens, such as harmful bacteria and viruses, upon contact.

These elements of the mineral kingdom are not only present in a healthy body, their levels and ratios to one another are critical to maintaining healthy function, strength and vitality in the body.  Calcium is in critical ratio to Phosphorus, Magnesium and Potassium; Sodium is balanced by Potassium; Copper and Zinc need to be in balanced ratio, as well as Sodium and Magnesium, Copper and Iron.  The degree to which these minerals are present in their proper levels and ratios, the body is healthy.  To the degree they are not, the body is sick and dying.

While Copper intensifies cellular activity, activating estrogen in cell proliferation, Zinc, which activates progesterone and testosterone, cools it down.  The body contains two to three grams of Zinc, found mainly in bones, teeth, hair, skin, the liver, muscle, leukocytes and in the testes.  It plays a role in skin integrity, enzymes, wound healing and growth.  Inorganic Copper is a heavy metal whose unbound ions are toxic.   Almost all of the Copper in the body is present as an organic mineral component of copper proteins, thereby reducing the in-vivo concentration of unbound copper ions almost to zero.  On average, an adult has about 150 mg of Copper in the body, of which about 10 to 20 mg are in the liver.  (Most of the information about the function of these minerals was taken from The Merck Manual, Seventeenth Edition.)

So we see there is an amazing interrelationship of checks and balances in the way minerals and trace minerals are arranged and proportioned in the body by reason of the chelating activity in the vegetable kingdom, which is designed to provide nutritional nourishment for the animal kingdom, a kingdom which our present physical capacities are yet part of.

Up until recently these essential nutrients have been virtually ignored in commercial farming.  In America, our agricultural lands were declared demineralized and, therefore, unfit for farming as early as the 1940’s, resulting in Americans becoming the most over-fed and under-nourished nation in the world.  Whereas the human body needs some fifty nutrients for healthy function, our soils are given but a handful of commercial chemicals with which to work in order to produce vegetables and fruit that are pleasant to the eyes but empty of life-sustaining nutrients.

Adrenal exhaustion is presently surfacing as the primary malady of people in this country and the fundamental, underlying cause of nearly all bodily malfunctions.   In his important book,  Adrenal Fatigue: The 21st Century Stress Syndrome,  naturopathic physician Dr. James L. Wilson decries the fact that  doctors have been dealing with . . .

“. . . a  problem of monstrous proportions that is largely unrecognized by the medical establishment.  This has left millions of people suffering from an untreated problem that interferes not only with their ability to function but also with their capacity to enjoy life.  It is difficult to assess exactly how much money is lost by corporations due to worker absenteeism, poor or clouded decision making, alcoholism, drug abuse, ‘nervous breakdowns,’ burnout, employee conflict, acute and chronic illness, loss of employees, and a host of other costly problems that stem from the effects of over-stressed adrenal glands.”

Little wonder that this is so, since ninety-five percent of Americans have been declared severely deficient in organic minerals and trace elements.  If they are not in the soil, of course, they are not to be found in our foods and therefore not in our bodies in sufficient levels or appropriate proportions. Where minerals and essential trace elements for the conduction of life’s energy are lacking in the human body, the stress of daily activities is almost unbearable.

These precious elements work their vibrational magic within the body according to their specific vibratory frequencies. They are the gifts of the mineral kingdom and can only be taken up into the body in colloidal form as they naturally appear suspended in vegetation.  All of these are elements that are readily available today, more than ever before its seems, as Mother Nature yields up her secrets to us in a copious stream of these and other “healing nutrients” in the form of whole food supplements and herbs.  I am forever amazed at the timely provision of life as it demonstrates its loving care for the body of Mankind on earth.  All that remains is for us each one and all to open up and receive these bountiful gifts with joy and thanksgiving while efforts are increasingly being directed by organic farmers the world around toward replenishing the soil and returning to organic gardening practices.

Organic farming has begun to appear throughout the land, with organically produced vegetables and fruits becoming plentifully available in supermarkets.  One way to tell if a vegetable was grown in mineral-rich soil is its sweetness.  Minerals make your carrots sweet.  If they’re not sweet, they were grown in mineral-depleted soil.  To safeguard your body’s health, I recommend a daily supplementation of organically grown minerals and trace minerals.  They are essential to the utilization of vitamins . . . and to our reception of cosmic rays.

Standard Process Laboratories in Palmyra, Wisconsin has been making wholefood supplements available to doctors and their patients for over a hundred years.  They maintain a large organic farm on site.  Its founder, Dr. Royal Lee, was a dentist who believed that a person’s teeth depend on a well-nourished physical body.  So he developed a line of wholefood supplements in order to provide his patients with vitamin-and-mineral-rich supplements. I’ve used them in my practice for many decades with rewarding success . . . and I supplement my daily diet with them.

I welcome any thoughts you may have and wish to share.  This being Christmas weekend, I wish you each one a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year in 2023.  Until my next post,

Be love.  Be loved.

At the Crossover: A White Stone . . . and a New Name

“We as individuals carry power and are part of a larger pattern in which power moves through earth and tides, seasons and thoughts and words.” —Rose Meeker

♦ ◊ ♦

I HAD A DREAM A FEW NIGHTS AGO about the number 8.  There was a large poster in front of what appeared to be a holistic healing center that read “DEEP EIGHT” and a large number 8 below the caption.  The message I heard was that the vibrational essences in the top half of the 8 have descended and deeply penetrated the lower half energizing and renewing it.  The implication was that we had reached the place in our spiritual movement and transformation between the New Heaven above the New Earth below where all power in Heaven and on Earth are given to us as a collective body of Man to bring forth the New Earth deeply into our planet. Not only bring it into planet Earth but to bring forth a new order into our Solar Entity.  We have come fully into the crossover point between Heaven and Earth, the Fourth Dimension where I AM known.

The Human Race is at a crossroads: either we move up in consciousness to the “Fourth Dimension” or we perish in third-density existence.  We are seven-dimensional entities . . . more than bodies with minds and hearts.  We are Human Beings: spiritual beings who incarnated from out of the immaterial, invisible realms of Light and into the material, visible realm of physical matter — spirits in flesh bodies with minds and hearts that let us live and serve on the material plane of being.  That’s four densities, or dimensions: Spirit, heart, mind, body —  through which moves a mighty river of Love, of Truth and of Life. That makes seven dimensions . . . which comprise a whole new entity which may be described as God in action on Earth.  At the fourth dimension, the crossover point, I AM present as a Human Being, spirit incarnate, at the crossover point between Heaven and Earth.

(The graphic below portrays several cycles and configurations, which I will not detail in this post; perhaps in a future post.  What I wish to portray with this graphic is the “larger pattern through which power moves” and of which we are a part —  in the Creative Process that brings forth Man and the entire world of form.  What I sensed in my dream was that the cycles moving in the “INNER PLANE” of the New Heaven above had moved down into the “OUTER PLANE” below where Man lives — where we live and have our being and co-create the New Earth.

Note that in the outer plane the cycle moves down on the left and up on the right, bringing down the patterns in the New Heaven for the New Earth into human consciousness, while disintegrating the old heaven in human consciousness and the old earth maintained by the disintegrating old heaven in consciousness, and on the right simultaneously integrating the elements that give form to the New Earth.  Our role is one of stewarding this creative cycle, which has been moving long before the Awakening in human consciousness.  We who have awakened to this cycle bear the greater responsibility for stewarding it.)

Since our fall out of the Garden state, we have functioned, in consciousness and in behavior, as third-density creatures on a third-density planet, not much more intelligent than our apian friends, though sadly more destructive.  Our planet has begun its movement vibrationally to the Fourth Density where it will no longer be able to support third-density entities.  So, we find ourselves as planetary inhabitants squeezed out of our comfort zone in third-density and being pressured to let go and move on up with the planet to a higher vibrational state: the Fourth Dimension.  A critical number have already moved up and cleared the path for all to follow.  “The Earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof; the world and they that dwell therein.”

I POSTED THIS THREE YEARS AGO and feel it is time to repost it.  Each time when I return to this inspired writing, I am summoned once again to a place of remembrance of my mission and purpose.  As I explore in my book SACRED ANATOMY– where spirit and flesh dance in the fires of creation, we have in our physical anatomy and endocrine physiology the equipment to transform and transmute our flesh bodies to higher vibrational frequencies.  I write about this endocrine physiology of hormonal function, with its potential alchemy for transmutation of flesh, in my book.   It feels timely now to revisit the chapter “The Spiritual Significance of the Pineal Gland.”  For context, you would benefit by reading the post previous to this one: “The Pineal Gland, Crystal Portal for Incarnation.

To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.” (Rev 2:17)

A STONE CUT OUT WITHOUT HANDS

Uranda’s reference in my previous post to the “white stone” as being the “renewed Pineal Gland” reminds me of another place in the Old Testament of the Bible where a small stone is mentioned that plays a pivotal role in the history of the Middle East. This reference is in the second chapter of The Book of Daniel. It is such a wonderful and pertinent story that I would like to consider it in all of its dramatic and significant details.

DANIEL AND KING NEBUCHADNEZZAR

It seems that Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar, having just besieged Jerusalem—something that occurred quite frequently in those days—had a dream which he summoned his soothsayers to not only interpret for him but to tell him the very dream itself, for he had forgotten it.  All he could remember of it was that it troubled his spirit so much that it woke him from his sleep. Yet he could not remember the dream, so he summoned all the wise men of Babylon to remember it for him and interpret it.  When they could do neither, he was so furious that he commanded that they all be destroyed, along with Daniel and his fellows, Shadrach, Mishach and Abednego — formerly known by the names,  Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, respectively.  To Daniel was given the name “Belteshazzar.”

Of course Daniel, who had not as yet had his chance at the dream, came to the king and did indeed tell him his dream as well as its interpretation.  This pleased the king, who then acknowledged that Daniel’s God was truly “a God of  gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets,” so he showered Daniel with many gifts and made him ruler over all the governors of Babylon.  He also placed Daniel’s fellows over the affairs of the province of Babylon,  with its hanging gardens, one of the “seven wonders of the world.” (Near present-day Baghdad)

THE DREAM

The dream itself was of a great image that was fashioned of various ores.  His head was made of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass, his legs of iron and his feet, interestingly enough, were made with a mixture of iron and clay.  What likely troubled king Nebuchadnezzar so was what happened in his dream to this image when a stone, “cut out without hands,” smote the image upon its feet.  The feet mixed with iron and clay crumbled and the whole image came tumbling down and all that the image was made of—the gold, the silver, the brass and the iron mixed with clay—was blown away by the wind so that nothing was left of it anywhere.  But the stone became a great mountain which filled the whole earth.

Daniel interpreted the dream as a prophetical outworking that would see the rise and fall of several empires, including Nebuchadnezzar’s Babylonian empire, which Daniel said was represented by the head of gold.  There would be other empires to come after the Babylonian empire, such as the Persian, the Grecian and Roman empires.  All would rise and fall.  The stone represented the kingdom of Daniel’s “God of heaven” which would be established during the reign of these kings and would remain to fill the whole earth after these other kingdoms had passed away.

King Nebuchadnezzar, for whatever reason, was not content to simply heed the message of his dream.  He had a ninety by nine foot statue, or “image of gold,” erected “in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon” (Daniel 3:1).  Now Babylon [today’s Iraq] was a province, or state—a collective, in other words, of many cities.  In the Bible, whenever a city or state is mentioned, it may be seen as a metaphor for consciousness, so that Babylon could be seen here as relating to the collective consciousness of humanity in which the human mind plays a focal role as a lens to refocus the light of truth.  The mind is historically thought to be anchored within the brain.  So I think it’s interesting, if not significant, that this “image of gold” was erected in the “plain of Dura” somewhere in Babylon. The word “Dura,” as we saw above, is also used to identify the outer protective membrane of the brain and spinal chord.

In other words, this image could be seen as representing an image of gold held in the human intellect, gold representing love, but also what gold brings, namely power, as well as abundance and wealth. To Nebuchadnezzar this image of gold represented his many gods and the gifts of wealth and plenty these gods had bestowed upon him and his empire. Having erected this gigantic idol, he commanded that, upon hearing the sound of the “musick,” everyone, under penalty of death in the fiery furnace, should fall down and worship the golden image.

ONE “LIKE UNTO THE SON OF GOD” IN THE FIERY FURNACE

As the story goes, it was reported to the king that Daniel’s three companions were not obeying his command, so the king had Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego bound and thrown into the fiery furnace to honor his decree.  So furious was he that these three friends of Daniel would not worship his gods that he had the furnace heated seven times more than it was wont to be heated. As we recall, the three men, who went into the fiery furnace singing songs of praise and thanksgiving to their God, were not burned by the fire but only their bonds,  along with the men who had thrown them into the furnace, were destroyed, setting them free.

The king was suddenly “astonied”  because of what he saw in the furnace:

“Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire ?” he asked of his counselors.  “True, king” they answered him.  “Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.” (Daniel 3:24-25)

Here is that vision again of the One standing in the midst of fire that is like unto the Son of God.  There was a presence, in other words, that was of another dimension.

Daniel himself was favored by all the kings who reigned during his lifetime because “an excellent spirit was in him,” and because of his strong faith in his God.   The Median King Darius later on would have to throw Daniel into the lion’s den to appease the Medes and Persians, who are known for their unalterable laws, only to spend a sleepless night fasting and in deep repentance hoping that Daniel’s God would surely deliver him.  He arose early in the morning and went with haste to the lion’s den crying out remorsefully but hopefully for Daniel, whom he found quite whole and unharmed.   He was “exceeding glad” and therefore commanded that those who had made the accusation against Daniel themselves be fed to the lions, along with their wives and their families.   Further he wrote to all the peoples of the entire earth that had peace among them and decreed that “in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and steadfast forever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.”

It is noteworthy here that throughout this story of Daniel he is placed first over other princes and governors because of his spirit, which was the spirit of the Lord God whom Daniel worshiped and sought to represent to the rulers and people of this great empire.  It is also noteworthy that this king, along with others after him in the story, were constantly torn between their many gods—the gods of gold, silver, brass, iron, wood and stone—and this One God of Heaven that Daniel worshiped and obeyed.  Whereas they could not deny the awesome power Daniel’s God bestowed upon him, particularly over secrets and dreams (it seems the kings of that era had a lot of disturbing dreams), they would resort to their traditions of placating the gods of their religions so as to assure their kingship, as well as the people’s homage, respect and obedience, as rulers of the world at that time.

It was always the accusations of the other governors against Daniel and his companions that caused the king to enforce his own decrees, only to hope in his heart that Daniel’s God would surely deliver them.  This dynamic makes the story all the more interesting and relevant to human nature antics, which have not changed much.  For even to this day do we worship the gods of gold, silver, brass, iron, wood and especially stone which we grind up to construct our buildings and highways.  So do we also make laws that cannot be broken without paying either with money or our lives — the same laws to be used in bringing down those in high places of government, our leaders and elected officials whom we blame for our troubles, while praying to God for deliverance from them.

This was the empire where Daniel began to prosper and his God of Heaven was acknowledged as being the “God of the living” to be feared and worshiped by all peoples everywhere.  The one just prior to this one, ruled over by Nebuchadnezzar’s son, Belshazzar, was the one represented in the dream by the feet made of iron mixed with clay.  It had fallen, bringing all the empires of that era down into the dust of obliteration.  But Daniel’s God and his heavenly kingdom, once a little stone, had grown into a great mountain which filled the whole earth.

Stay tuned for the rest of the story and its prophetic significance in my next post. Until then,

Be love. Be loved

Our Unified Creating Fields

THERE IS A UNFIED CREATING FIELD enveloping our physical bodies.  It’s a large part of who and what we are. In fact, this field IS who we are, and it’s at our command. Whether knowingly or unknowingly, we create our worlds and our physical forms by every spirit-imbued thought, word, intention and emotion we entertain and utter and every enactment we perform within our creating field.

At the center of our creating field resides the creation of our physical form.  The field itself is a holographic microcosmic identical clone of a macrocosmic Holographic Universe, which is enveloped in a Unified Field itself, at the center of which resides the Creating Universe, in which all is One.  Creation comes and goes via this Unified Creating Field.

As Rumi so poetically describes it, there is no right or wrong doings in this field.  It’s all perfect, even as the pre-forms of creation continually evolve as the frequencies of Light, the artistic medium of the Creator, step down into lower frequencies to ultimately give visible birth to forms on Mother Nature’s colorful canvas.  Every process and phase of evolution of form is perfect.

All is one in the One whose Creating Field it is.  Even the body of Humanity, in which there exists so much divisiveness and conflict, is one with the All and contained within the Univied Creating Field, in which it is constantly being acted upon by Creative Forces in the Field.

Another word for this Field is the Heaven, the “Kingdom of Heaven” as the Master Jesus referred to it, which he said is both within us and all around us — a heaven that was the first creation in Genesis: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  The earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep.  And God said: Let there be Light.”  Out of light was created the entire universe, the forms of which materialize and dematerialize, along with the heaven that gave them birth.  There is a heaven for every level of form.  Old heavens and old earths pass away even as new heavens and new earths replace them.  All comes out of and returns to the One.

Our old earth and world are in the process of passing away even as a New Heaven and a New Earth are in the process of coming forth out of the Unified Field of Divine Creation.  “Behold I create a new heaven and a new Earth, for the old heaven and old earth are passed away.”

In the old heaven are “the former things,” the memory patterns of past events, both creative and destructive, “ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing” that have maintained the dis-eased and corrupt human state, along with whatever healthy and wholesome state there is and has been.  That world is, as Rumi put it so succinctly, “too full to talk about.”  And that is my own experience when I let go of it all and lie down in Rumi’s quiet field of simply being, where the meditations of my heart and the thoughts of my mind are worthy of being heard and listened to, and where judgement is not.

Come with me now as I reflect on what I have learned when I was active in the old world as a practitioner and healer of human ills and anguish.  There is something to learn there that can increase our understanding of the chaos currently manifesting in a world in transition from old to new.

THE VIBRATIONAL ORIGIN OF DISEASE AND HEALTH

While I was attending Dr. Milton T. Morter’s seminars and training classes in Bio-Energetic Synchronization Technique (BEST), I heard him expound in vibratory-field language his view, based on his research and practical explorations, how “hereditary diseases” land in our physical bodies.  The gist of it is that patterns of so-called “hereditary diseases,” such as cancer, coronary heart disease and diabetes, do not always arise from out of our genetics, but rather descend from our personal energy fields cluttered with disease patterns from out of the past.  Allow me to elucidate.

According to this scenario, we bring a lot of vibrational energetic baggage with us when we incarnate that may determine our behavior and experience of health and dis-ease.  It’s all present in our personal energy fields, with which we interact on a momentary basis.  Disease patterns that were shaped by strong emotions, such as resentment, anger, fear, anxiety and grief — that were causal in relationship to various disease patterns in prior personal and ancestral incarnations — can be brought down into the physical body from the field on the basis of the principle of resonance.  If one who has inherited such a field package holds onto a strong and unresolved emotional pattern for a long period of time, for instance, a disease pattern in the field shaped by such emotional dissonance may bring the disease associated with it down into one’s physical body.  In other words, “hereditary diseases” such as cancer and diabetes, are not necessarily genetically caused, but may descend from out of one’s personal field — as well as the collective unified field, as I will develop shortly.

I thought that was pretty ingenious. I still do. The question might then be posed, can the field be cleared of all such dissonant patterns?  I believe this is what energy healers, such as Dr. Morter and the Morter Health System, and light workers and energy healers around the globe today, are about in their attunement work and service.  In fact, I’m sure of it . . . and the vibration of Love is the power that does the clearing. “The Father within, he doeth the works,” as the Great Physician himself acknowledged and taught when he walked on earth as a healer of the sick, the blind, and the lame.

MY “CENTURION” EXPERIENCE WITH ATTUNEMENT

I remember very vividly an experience I had back in my early years of clinical practice of clearing a disease pattern in the field around a young boy’s kidneys. His great-grandfather had come to me with an absolute faith that I could help his great-grandson, who was in a hospital miles away from my office.  The child was on dialysis and scheduled for a kidney transplant from his mom the next day. The dissonant and erratic pattern was like a balloon of hot air.  I could feel it and caress it, and within less than a minute, after confirming my upward connection with the Father within the Unified Field, and placing my hands over the great-grandfather’s kidney area, this ball of dissonant energy began to dissipate like a deflating balloon. I knew in an instant that the elderly gentleman and I had done all that we could, and that is exactly what turned out to be the case.  The child’s kidneys began to function again during that night.  He was taken off dialysis and the transplant schedule the same day. The attending surgeon said it was a miracle, as he had no other explanation for the sudden change.  I met the little boy and his mom a few weeks later, and he was a bubbling ball of playful energy.  Needless to say, this “Centurion” experience was a huge teaching for me of the power of attunement and agreement, even at a distance.

I love attunement.  It is a most magical way of clearing the field around the physical body.  Love has to be allowed to flow and radiate within and through the field.  This remote healing experience taught me that faith on the part of both practitioner and recipient, or surrogate as in this case, is essential to the spontaneous clearing of the field and healing of the dis-eased physical form.  And I think that such faith is degree-sensitive.  The greater is one’s faith and belief, the quicker the clearing and healing.

THE COLLECTIVE UNIFIED CREATING FIELD

Could this field-dynamic also be at work on a collective level, such as in the Body of Mankind as a unified whole having a shared mass consciousness and a collective unified creating field?  I believe it is.  This pandemic, for instance, may well have its vibrational origin and cause in the collective unified field where such patterns as the Great Influenza Pandemic of 1918 — which ironically has come up in news items and conversations comparing this pandemic to that one — are implanted.  No doubt strong patterns of fear and anxiety were and are associated with that pattern, as are prevalent in this one.  The oxidative stress of the G5 factor, which I address in my Healthlight Newsletter at LiftingTones.com, may well be creating the conditions in which this dynamic works even quicker.

A theory, much like a vision planted in my brain, to borrow a line from Simon and Garfunkel’s “Sound of Silence,” has developed in my mind about this so-called pandemic — “and still remains within the sound of silence,” as only a brave few have dared break their silence over this deceptive manipulation of the masses, and many more are coming forward daily.  First, that it is orchestrated, and second that in order to create a mass panic that could manifest a pandemic, all that one, or ones, need do is announce the outbreak of a coronavirus in Wuhan, China — at the beginning of the “normal” yearly flu season — that has spread and threatens to become a pandemic, and fear for one’s life grips the hearts of the masses — a fear that is remnant of and resonant with the fear aroused in the populace in 1918 — and down descends the influenza pattern into the body of humanity.  Truly a wetiko, a mind-virus, an invisible pattern in the field manifesting in the physical bodies of people the world over.  Little wonder not one single scientific lab has been able to isolate this “virus” and actually capture a picture of it in their electron microscopes.  Because it’s invisible.  It’s not a thing.  It’s a vibrational pattern in the unified field creating deadly influenza symptoms and death in the masses, just like the influenza of 1918 — and manifesting in the fearful and thus immune compromised, and in the elderly who are already dying from underlying morbidities, such as heart disease and diabetes — all of which are being reported as dying “from” Covid-19 rather than “with” Covid-19, a blatant case of data enhancement and downright lying.

LOVE IS THE ONLY WAY FORWARD

My friends, we are shadow boxing, ghost chasing and there truly is no vaccine that medicine can concoct to immunize the people from it.  Only one thing can dissolve the pattern of fear in the field, this mind-virus, and that’s love. Perfect love casts out fear.  My friend Will Wilkinson in Hawaii is on the right track with his “Love-Casting Club.” Casting love into the Unified Creating Field of the Body of Humanity will dissolve the fear we’ve inherited from our fathers and forefathers back to the fifth generation.  Dissolve the pattern of fear and this shadowy manifestation of disease will vanish like the mist before the rising sun.  If you think you would like to join Will in Love Casting, let him know by email.  His email address is:  noonclubwill@gmail.com.

We each individually and all together as a body of Humanity have a choice to make as to what field, what heaven, we’re going to move forward in and work out of in creating our world: the old heaven polluted with fear, hatred, impatience, greed and corruption, and other patterns of past failures and destruction, in an old earth that’s beyond salvaging, all of which is passing away — or the New Heaven filled with the spirits of love, compassion, patience, creativity, kindness and generosity that is available to us now.  We only have our little heaven, our unified creating field, to work out of in creating our world and our lives.  The good news is that our personal and collective creating fields are contained within the Unified Field and are fed and nourished by it. This is God’s Heaven where all is well.  There are no disease patterns in it, no viruses or pandemic patterns either.  So we have the Creator of Heaven and Earth with us in all that we undertake to create.  It is in the old heaven where things are not so well.  It needs to be left behind and allowed to pass away to make room for the New Heaven out of which a New Earth is being born.  “Behold, I make all things new!” That is my word in this new day.  Let’s make it our collective word.

The Unified Field is at our command because it’s who and what we are.  Let us cast our bread, our prayer, upon these waters, for what we wish to create in our world and in our lives, and give thanks that it is already done according to our word; then be prepared to receive our creation with gratitude and praise to the One. This Law works.  Let’s let it work with our participation and the full empowerment of Love for the Truth of Life.  This is the wholistic path to health and happiness.  Until my next post, here’s to your joy and success creating your health and your world anew.

“The Reward of the Wicked” — Everything Matters

“A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten-thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee; for only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.”

I’ve been viewing videos about the horrible culture of human and sex trafficking, particularly involving innocent children.  It made my stomach sick. I had no idea it is such a huge business in the world of the rich and famous coast to coast and globally.  It’s impossible to behold and see this wickedness with eyes only. My heart bleeds for the children.  Thankfully, this evil is being exposed and its days are numbered.

The question always comes up for me when I read the biblical passage above, “Who are the wicked?” And the answer always is to be found in Jesus’s answer to those who would stone Mary Magdalene for her sins: “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.”  Who am I to cast judgement on anyone?

We have all contributed to the wickedness in the world, as well as to whatever goodness there is there, and there’s plenty.  No, we may not be involved in human trafficking or sexual exploitation of the innocent, but we have all done our share of wicked behavior, in our thoughts, our words and/or our deeds.  Everything we do individually matters in the collective consciousness to which we all contribute and out of which we all, in the absence of mindfulness, express.

A friend and colleague once said: “Nothing is wrong.  Everything matters”—and so it is, although it’s hard to imagine how evil-doers matter and how what they do isn’t wrong.  “They?” Is there a “they” or is there only a “we?”  Or maybe only an “I,” and it’s what I think, say and do that matters in the collective experience?  How often have I heard my mind say “That man needs a bullet to the head.” Horror of horrors that I should even think such a thought, much less voice it, benign as it may well be unless I empower it with deep feeling that launches it into the mass consciousness where it’s then available to some unstable person.  Think about it.

A quote from my past college days springs to mind:  “There’s no telling how far reaching something we may think, say or do today will affect the lives of millions tomorrow. It’s better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.” The developer of the philosophy of Chiropractic, Dr. B.J. Palmer, handed down these eternal words of wisdom.

Now, I know I’m “preaching to the choir” here—although intentionally through the choir as a way of sending my words and spirit into the mass consciousness, depending on how they are fielded and received by my readers.  Agreement is a powerfully enabling force—and that’s all I seek from my audience when I blog: agreement in the truth, in what’s right.

We are wise to see and behold the “reward of the wicked” only with our eyes.  We have hearts, however, to feel the energetic texture of what we are seeing and the largeness of spirit to receive it, hold it, and let it be bathed in love, compassion and forgiveness.  In this service to the One, the world, and we, are healed.

WORDS OF WISDOM AND OF LIFE

So many truthful saws (to borrow a poetic term) have been given to us over the years and eons of time.  William Shakespeare’s sonnet lingers yet in my memory from College English days:

“Let me not to the marriage of true minds Admit impediments. Love is not love which alters when it alteration finds, or bends with the remover to remove: O no! It is an ever fixed mark that looks on tempests and is never shaken; it is the star to every wandering bark whose worth’s unknown, although his height be taken. Love’s not Time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks within his bending sickle’s compass come: Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks, but bears it out, even to the edge of doom.”

Then there’s this famous passage from the Bhagavad~Gita:

Arjuna: Yet tell me, Teacher! by what force doth man
Go along his way, unwilling; as if one
Pushed him that troubled path?

Krishna: Life it is! Life’s urge it is! used in darkened understanding,
Which pusheth him. Mighty of appetite,

Powerful, and strong is this!—man’s enemy or friend!
As smoke blots the white fire, as clinging rust

Mars the bright mirror, as the womb surrounds

The babe unborn, so is the world of things

Foiled, soiled, enclosed in wrong uses of Life’s urge.

The wise fall, caught in it; the unresting foe

It is of wisdom, wearing countless forms,
Fair but deceitful, subtle as a flame.

Sense, mind, and reason—these, 0 Kunti’s Son!
Are booty for it; in its play with these

It maddens man, beguiling, blinding him.
Therefore, thou noblest child of Bharata!

Govern thy heart.
Constrain the entangled sense!

Resist the false, soft sinfulness which saps
Knowledge and judgment!

Yea, the world is strong,
But he who discerns is stronger, and the Christed mind

Is strongest; with high o’er all the ruling Soul.

Wherefore, perceiving Him who reigns supreme,

Put forth full force of Soul in thy own soul!

Fight! vanquish foes and doubts, dear Hero! slay

What haunts thee in fond shapes, and would betray!

The beloved poet Rumi gave us this transcendent poem that speaks to another level of being and a safe place for meeting one another.

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field. I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase “each other”
doesn’t make any sense.
The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don’t go back to sleep.
You must ask for what you really want.
Don’t go back to sleep.
People are going back and forth across the door sill
where the two worlds touch.
The door is round and open.
Don’t go back to sleep.

There are so many wise words, not the least of which are those of the Master Jesus recorded and handed down to us by the scribes and cloistered monks who spent their entire lives translating and copying scroll after ancient scroll in order to preserve the wisdom of the ages for posterity.  I feel so blessed and thankful—as well as compelled to take heed of what has been given to us in the way of the Word.  God has spoken to His people through so many. Dare I let God speak through me and through you and all those who lift up their hearts and minds to the One whose Earth this is . . . “and the fullness thereof; the world and they that dwell therein.”

Anyone can wax eloquent with words.  What matters is everything that I and every one of us think, say and do in our daily lives.  Nothing is wrong.  Everything matters.  Every emotionally-charged thought materializes.

Do we not see this pandemic plaguing the population of the planet as nothing more nor less than the “reward of the wicked?” The fall out of the wicked thoughts and actions of mankind that have “foiled, soiled” the collective heart and consciousness and filled them with all sorts of ill uses of the gift of Life itself, “Life’s urge . . . used in darkened understanding”?  It’s all mattering, manifesting on Earth from out of the spoiled heaven of the mass consciousness of humanity. The prayer of the crucified Man from Galilee must be our prayer today: “Father, forgive us, for we know not what we do.”

Beyond prayer, let us wake up and see and know what we are doing to ourselves and to God’s Earth before it’s too late and time is no more.  Personally, I believe we’ve already passed that point where and when time is no more.  This pandemic may well be our last wake-up call.

Yet, with all that said, the LORD of lords, whose Earth we inhabit, I know is taking full advantage of this crisis to bring about a balance and harmony between the Earth and the Heaven out of which it was born.  To make once again Heaven and Earth one. All is well and in God’s hands.

As a colleague acknowledged in a conference call yesterday, this pandemic has brought about a greatly needed pause in our busy lives that we would likely never have found time nor a way to arrange willingly and deliberately. A pause to remember that we are one community of people who really do love and care for one another.

I’ll leave it there.  Any thoughts stirred and wanting to be shared?  I welcome them.  Until my next post . . . if there is one,

Be love. Be loved

Tending the Garden of Your Heart

“Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be lift up, ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in.” (Psalm 24:7)

As we leave 2019, our world is in turmoil. Our government is under siege from within by its political parties battling over the impeachment of the president. Our Beloved America is on the precipice of the implosion of its grossly indebted and unbalanced economy. This civilization is in the throes of an existential crisis.  Wildfires burn in Australia, as they do every year in California. Let’s face the truth and the facts: the world we have created on this planet is not in harmony with the Earth.

While we are busy with our isolated personal lives, striving to make ends meet, or even survive, and to safeguard our health and our sanity, the health of our natural resources deteriorates from a lack of stewardship and sheer exhaustion from an overpopulated planet—not to mention the state of our hearts and collective consciousness, the real garden we were given to tend and keep. The garden of our hearts here in America is in a state of anxiety, chronic stress and eroding fear.

Wars continue to be waged in the Middle East and could escalate into a U.S. involvement in yet another war with Iran in the wake of the killing of Iran’s chief military commander, the head of Iran’s elite Quds Force, under President Trump’s direction.  Endless wars have devastated that part of the world; desperation and fear fill the hearts of millions who are starving for a lack of food and/or driven from their homes and homelands living in tents while seeking refuge in countries, some of whose borders are closed to them, while we are building a wall to keep them out.  This is the sad state of affairs in which we leave our world at the end of the second decade of the 21st Century, and launch into an election year of 2020.

“The gates of hell shall not prevail. . . .”

The title of my last post in the series on the Thymus Gland is “The Windows of Heaven.” Looking at the current global outpouring of hate, fear and anger from out of the heart and psyche of humanity, I am drawn back to the series to take another look at the heart, this time as a trapdoor to hell—a trapdoor that was sprung open once again in our world’s history during the 2016 Presidential campaigns here in America, the historical moment when one individual stepped up onto the Republican platform and announced his candidacy for the elected office of President of the United States.

The tone this one man sounded, and continues to sound, has summoned up legions of demons from out of the collective unconscious, a reservoir where vibrational patterns of unholy attitudes and dark patterns of violence have been lurking and working behind the scenes of human behavior and activity throughout the warring history of mankind, now released into the collective consciousness full-force, nothing hidden in the secret places of the heart.

This narcissistic leader has gathered resonant substance around him that has formed a “base” comprised of individuals who feel their voices and concerns have not been heard and met, and whose minds and hearts are open to his revolting and insulting rhetoric while they applaud and egg him on—much like the masses in Germany did to Adolf Hitler in the 1940’s.

This is collective insanity. Our nation is not sane, not whole. We are divided along partisan lines, by racial prejudice, by discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender equality and LGBTQ rights issues, and by religious beliefs and socioeconomic class distinctions. Divided, we are falling apart.

The nauseous brew in the collective unconscious has erupted and is spilling over into the sea of the collective consciousness, polluting these hallowed waters and engulfing the sinking ship of humanity in waves after waves of hate, fear and anger. The undoing of the human condition, created by the human mind out from under Divine governance, is underway—and it’s creator is lashing out in wrathful anger because it knows that it has but a short time remaining on this Earth—this “little blue dot” of a planet adrift in a ray of sunshine, as Carl Sagan graphically portrays our tiny but sacred home among the stars. The human condition is being transformed by fire and transmuted by Spirit even as the old earth is giving way to the emergence of the New Earth.

A phrase from the Book of Revelation in the Bible comes to mind:

Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and those that dwell in them. But woe unto the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea. (Rev. 12:2)

OF DEMONS AND SHADOWS

As I turn eighty this new year, what elder wisdom may be mine to offer is becoming more available to me, as experience tends to afford us elders.  In my lifetime, I have wrestled with demons and prayed my way through shadows and dark nights of the soul—not unlike many in the upcoming generation who now have support groups for processing their issues and coming clear of their demons and shadows.  We didn’t have that kind of group processing when we left our father’s house to make a life in the world.  Only later did we begin to have workshops in self-realization available. Even then, I found little encouragement in the wise counsel of the day to “Just Keep moving.”

In my experience, detoxifying the human psyche can become an obsession, as well as an endless task of dredging up demons out of a bottomless pit. One will never get to the place in Plato’s “cave,” where there are no more demons shadow-dancing on one’s walls, as our “personal” issues and shadows are connected vibrationally by resonance with those in the collective unconscious.  Sometimes one really cannot tell what demons are one’s own to face and what demons come out of the collective. I may get rid of one demon only to have two more move in to fill the void.

Some say we must face our demons and embrace the darkness. The question I pose is “Who is it that is doing the facing and embracing? The ‘mere human’ or the authentic Self?” My inner wisdom tells me that if the spirit of this world comes and finds something in me, then I have work to do. If not, then I need to let it pass on through . . . and keep moving.  “Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

YOU ARE THE LIGHT

There is only one way to  come out of the cave and into the light of day. We must open the Seventh Seal at the highest level of awareness and let the Light of our own angelic and immortal being flood our souls with love, and then step into this Light in the center of our turning worlds and assume our true identity as rays of sunshine, sons and a daughters of God. In this center of Light and Love there are no shadows, and you can see things in your world clearly, no longer through a “glass darkly” but for what they truly are: things, just things that cast shadows on the ground behind them.

Things are nothing more nor less than distortions of the One Light of Love. And by “distortions” I mean lower and denser vibrations of the One Light of Love of which all things in the “material” world are made. You are the pure, differentiated Light that shines on things that, due to their density, cast shadows behind them.  Be the Light of your world, and stop the futile effort of getting rid of the shadows in your life.  They are nothing, have no substance, no reality.  The “things” casting the shadows are the disturbances in the heart, the “wounds” that only love can heal.  Let your light shine, your love radiate through your disturbed and wounded heart, and you discover your Self in the process. Expression is the only way that allows the release of your light.

Sometimes that expression of light needs to be a laser beam of rebuke: “Get thee hence! Begone!” The man Jesus faced his demons in this manner. When vocalized, rebuke is a sonic purifier of dark energy.

Shadows are nothing but the absence of light. If you’re dwelling in the darkness of the shadow, you can’t see the Light. There is “this thing” standing in the way blocking your view: this wound, that issue, that person or those people. We blame the wound and the perpetrators for our unhappiness and depression.  How about simply getting around and over the things casting shadows on our path in life and come into the Light where there are no shadows?  The simple acts of forgiveness and unconditional acceptance could get you there.  The word “empathy” is used in many talk shows and television interviews lately.

I remember from my early years of awakening a parable my mentor used frequently in his seminars. No doubt you’ve all heard it repeated in various talks and articles yourself.  In the parable a man in an insane asylum is sweeping the floor of his room all night long until the sun rises in the morning, when he would stop sweeping and sit down to rest in blissful satisfaction that he had finally swept all the darkness out of his room. Wrestling with shadows can be nothing more than trying to sweep darkness out of one’s heart and psyche. Just turn on your light and let it shine away the darkness.

Switching metaphors for a moment, this little poem has provided wisdom and guidance for me. It’s called “The River.”

I am the River

The River flows. The River flows.

The River flows up to an obstacle.

The River does not stop at the obstacle.

The River goes around the obstacle.

The River flows. The River flows.

I am the River.

The River is Life, and Life is unconquerable.  If you can be overcome by some obstacle in your path, then you are not identified with Life. Your are in ego identity, and ego identity is an obstacle in itself.  Let go of the obstacles and move on with the River, as the River.  Say “I Am the River and I’m going to keep on flowing.” Perhaps this could be a good New Year’s resolution: to stay identified with the River of Life.

The heart lifted upward lets the light of Heaven in . . . and the blessing you are out; cast downward, it opens to the dark shadows in the collective unconscious.  Let your heart be lifted up in thankfulness for Life and for Light as we begin the New Year and decade in 2020.

I leave you to enjoy two excerpts from Handel’s Messiah sung by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir to kick-start the New Year.

“Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in.” (Psalm 24:9)

Blessings for a happy, healthy and new life experience in 2020!

“A White Stone…. The Renewed Pineal Gland”

Continuing now with excerpts from SACRED ANATOMY — where spirit and flesh dance in the fires of creation. Our topic is the spiritual significance of the pineal gland.

Until then,

Be love. Be loved

Your Heart was Made for Love

The question I ask myself is “To what do I lend my heart?”

In response to an article posted on Facebook yesterday, written by Michael Krieger, entitled “Americans are Rapidly Sinking into Madness,” I submitted these comments — which I’ve edited a bit here for clarification and impetus. As a sub-heading to his article, Michael offered this quote from an anonymous author: “THOSE WHOM THE GODS WISH TO DESTROY THEY FIRST MAKE MAD” Michael writes:

While I’m only in control of my own behavior, this doesn’t mean that the behavior of others is irrelevant to my life. Unfortunately, what I see happening to the population of America right now seems very troublesome and foreboding. What I’m witnessing across the board is hordes of people increasingly separating themselves into weird, unthinking cults. Something appears to have snapped in our collective consciousness, and many individuals I used to respect (on both sides of the political spectrum) are becoming disturbingly polarized and hysterical. People are rapidly morphing into radicalized mental patients.

My comments:

Great Article. Thanks Michael. Deepak Chopra made what I feel is an accurate appraisal of Donald Trump’s eruption into the political arena, and the media, sounding a tone of hate and discontent that resonated with at least some forty-plus percent of the voting public. In an interview he said that Trump’s violent eruption into the arena of politics threw open the proverbial “lid on the Id” of the mass-unconscious unleashing a current of vomit from out of this bottomless pit of past trauma to the human psyche.

The Mayans also spoke of evil spirits taking over human beings and making them mad during the end of the Long-count Calendar when the solar system moves into a heightened band of energy emanating from the core of our Milky Way galaxy. The intensification of cosmic electromagnetic energy has increased the vibrational frequency of everyone and everything on Earth and throughout the solar system, setting into action patterns of human behavior that have for many centuries lain dormant in human consciousness.

It’s all about energy, isn’t it? Just like the Cymatic images Hans Jenny brought to us some years back demonstrate, the pace and beat of the dance of life on Earth has quickened and the form of things has suddenly changed.  Nothing is the same, including, and especially, human behavior.

Some dance to the drum-beat and frequencies of hate and fear, while others dance to the rhythms of the music of joy and celebration. It all depends on what these eruptions out of hell, if you will, find in one’s heart to resonate.  What do Donald Trump’s words and spirit find in my heart that moves me to reaction?

I recall something the Master Jesus is reported to have said about the spirit of this world coming and finding nothing in him – nothing in his heart that resonated with the world’s vibration. Deepak himself confessed that, much to his surprise, Trump’s energy touched a chord of fear in his own heart. This is life altering for everyone and everything on Earth. No one or thing is safe or exempt from this fire erupting from out of the mass-unconscious since Trump opened his mouth in the presidential debates of 2016. And, though clothed in words of hate and discontent, these heated currents are driven by the purifying fire of love itself cleansing the heart of humanity of vile patterns of hateful behavior and painful memories of past trauma. I say let the purification continue in the fire of love. It’s all love in action moving all matter through a process of transformation. Let the furnace heat up seven times hotter than is it wont to be heated so that all of the residue of our past failures to dance to the music and Tone of Love are burned up, and the energy holding them in form returned to the creative purposes of Life on Earth. It’s all good.

As a friend and colleague in the field of energy healing once wrote: “Nothing is wrong. Everything matters.”

I know that my heart was made for love’s expression. I learned this lesson the hard way by lending my heart to hate and anger, and it began to fail me. I soon found myself under the surgeon’s knife for a bypass operation. Aptly, it is called “open-heart surgery.” Hate closes and hardens the heart. Mine had wisely closed to the damaging currents of hate and resentment, which I insisted on harboring and expressing in words toward friends whom I had imagined had become my enemies. My surgery woke me up to what I had been doing for a couple of years.  I began to repent, literally turn around, and start channeling once again the sweet currents of love and forgiveness.  Life returned to my body and color to my face, which had begun to show signs of premature ageing.  I began to see the ones whom I had once hated in a new light.  I began to love them and it felt so good. So, I know first hand, that my heart was made for love and not for hate or anger.

As Deepak Chopra indicated in that interview, the lid is off the “Id” of the mass-unconscious and all hell has broken loose. Will I let these vile currents of hate and discontent, now loose in the world, flow through my heart and mind to move me to express hatred and anger, or harbor fear?  Or will I stay my heart and hold my tongue to allow the heat to build up inside and bring on the pressure needed for me to make a change in the way I look at what’s happening in the world — not through the eyes of the human ego that sees a world in turmoil threatening its comfort and very survival, but rather through the eyes of the angel incarnate in these human capacities, the One that I truly am, who sees a world being cleansed of corruption and degradation in the fires of purification and transformation?

Will I let the vomit erupting from out of the impure heart of humanity — which in reality is the Heart of God — spew through my mouth when I speak of these worldly events with my friends and neighbors, or on social media?  From a purely personal standpoint, it’s not worth it. My heart, my mind and my body deserve better use than this. Let my heart be purified in the fire of love and find its way back to peace. My mind will then remain sane and my body at ease and available for the dance of Life.

Madness is what happens when the heart chokes off the life-giving water of the truth of love that alone makes us whole, the definition of sanity.

Thank you for sharing my thoughts and aspirations. I welcome your thoughts in the comment feature. Unill my next post, then,

On Human Relations . . . . . part 6: The Path of Romantic Love, page 2

My Chorale PicFar from keeping one earthbound, romantic love, not celibacy, was exemplified and touted by Jesus as the highest path to spiritual enlightenment and union with the divine. From the very Genesis we were created male and female so that through our union as one flesh we could bring forth life. That was the original template.  We’ve obviously altered and thwarted the original template for the creation of human beings and produced a species of human doings who put achieving ahead of being and compete with one another in a “battle of the sexes.”

I’m in my second reading of THE MEANING OF MARY MAGDALENE – The Woman at the Heart of Christianity, a most provocative book written by episcopal priest Cynthia Bourgeault, in which she weaves the scenario of a romantic human relationship between Jesus and Mary Magdalene. That alone should give you a clue about its provocative subject matter. To write this series of posts I dove right into the book to share poignant excerpts from chapter seven: “Reclaiming the Path of Romantic Love.”

In my last post I left my blog followers and readers with four options offered by the author to consider and choose from. They are:

1. That Mary Magdalene was Jesus’s mistress;

2. That theirs was a politically arranged marriage, strictly for dynastic purposes;

3. That they were sexual consorts in some Gnostic Mystery religion, ritually reenacting the sacred hieros gamos, or union of the opposites;

4. That the whole story is purely archetypal, a great Sophianic myth depicting the integration of the masculine and feminine within the human soul.”

I chose the third option. Here’s what Cynthia offers:

Sex, power, cult, or myth: not a great set of choices.  I have yet to see considered what in a sexually healthy culture would surely seem to be the obvious possibility: that they were faithful beloveds, whose lives were joined together in a fully enfleshed human love which was a source of strength and nurturance for both of them; which far from diminishing their spiritual integrity, deepened and fulfilled it. Why is it so hard to go there?  Well, obviously: because that is the one possibility our celibate template will not allow us to consider.

The “celibate template” of which she speaks is the scenario handed down to us by a patriarchal church and its celibate priesthood that portrays Jesus as a celibate bachelor, who had a virgin birth, and who gave himself utterly and completely to God and his mission without the “distraction” and high maintenance of a human relationship. Obviously, human sexuality has been a problem for the church for the past two-thousand years.

In this post, I will present the author’s four “propositions” or “myths”– all “rooted in the soil of celibate spirituality — that together have subtly sabotaged our ability to see romantic love as an authentic path of spiritual transformation.” Handed down as “gospel truth,” these myths in fact have “little or no scriptural authorization in the teachings of Jesus himself but instead draw their credibility entirely from the circular logic of his presumed celibacy.”

MYTH NUMBER ONE — Celibacy is the preferred means of giving oneself entirely to God

This myth as been promulgated and fostered by the church almost from the beginning of priesthood and monastic life.

Like so much else in church’s teachings on human sexuality, its scriptural origins lie in Paul’s oft-cited admonition, “The unmarried man cares for the Lord’s business; his aim is to please the Lord. But the married man cares for worldly things; his aim is to please his wife; and he has a divided mind” (Corinthians 7:33). Clearly this is a highly effective recruitment tactic for the religious life. Virtually every Christian monastic I know has entered upon the vocation espousing some variation of Thomas Merton’s impassioned outpouring: “I want to give God everything.” Of course, from an operational standpoint Paul is quite correct: being in partnership makes the logistics of spiritual discipleship a good deal more complicated.

But the theology underlying this principle, if you really consider it, is monstrous. In fact, it seems to be saying that the wholehearted love of God and the wholehearted love of another human being cannot coincide; as our love for a particular human being increases, our love for God is proportionately diminished. Not only is this a theological nightmare; it is also a flat-out contradiction of Jesus’s own dual commandment: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and with all your mind . . . and you shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37-39). Whatever the difficulty in juggling these sometimes contradictory demands, collapsing the tension between them is not an option.

I love her articulate way of stating the obvious in her writing style.  What she writes next, and the way she turns the usual perspective on its head, sends a delightful burst of sunshine into my heart:

The real solution to this paradox, I believe, comes in the gradual discovery that one cannot love God as an object. God is always and only the subject of love.  God is that which makes love possible, the source from which it emerges and the light by which it is recognized. Thus, “love of God” is not one love among others, not love for a particular “one” to whom my saying “yes” requires that I say “no” to another. Rather, God is the all-encompassing One who unlocks and sustains my ability to give myself fully to life in all its infinite particularity, including the excruciating particularity of a human beloved.

. . . God is the divine giving, who flows out and through our human expression to manifest love in all its fullness.  And so the way to give oneself fully to God would be to give fully of oneself

MYTH NUMBER TWO — Love divides the heart

The notion that erotic love divides the heart is so deeply engrained in monastic spiritual formation that renunciation becomes not only the imperative course of action but even a spiritual opportunity: the direct route to spiritual wholeness. The modern Jesuit John S. Dunne reflects this traditional view when he writes: “If I set my heart upon another person, then I cannot live without that person. My heart becomes divided. On the other hand, if I give my life to the journey with God, then my heart becomes whole and I can be whole in relationship with another.’ [Dunne, Reasons of the Heart].

. . . And yet the question remains: does love divide the heart? If God is considered an object of one’s love vying with other objects, then the crucial premise on which this theology hangs is true: yes, love would divide the heart. But if God is the subject of love, the place from which love emerges, then one could more reliably claim—as poets, mystics, and lovers have claimed throughout the ages—that love does not divide the heart, but is in fact the sole force strong enough to unite it. What divides the heart is not the love relationship itself but the passions: the strong emotions and shadow side that are always present when love runs strong. But these are not grounds for renunciation; rather, they are grounds for purification.

This story Cynthia shares next my wife and I can personally relate to, as she has spent the larger part of this year undergoing chemo therapy for breast cancer. Our hearts have been opened wider by this crisis so that we have been able to easily and gratefully give fully of ourselves to one another in a mutually loving and caring way. We have both been transformed in this challenging crisis so that we don’t see cancer as an enemy to fight against and conquer. Rather, by embracing it, the tumor has become a messenger bringing us an opportunity to grow spiritually and more intimately together in life . . . as well as to realize how many wonderful friends we have surrounding us and holding us in their love and prayers.

In closing this consideration, Cynthia writes:

What this purification might look like is captured with wrenching power in the memoir “Grace and Grit” by the contemporary philosopher Ken Wilber. In this remarkable autobiography he shares the story of his own love and transformation as he and his wife . . . wage a five-year battle against her ultimately fatal breast cancer. As their ordeal intensifies, one watches them each being melted down and refashioned in the refiner’s fire of their love for each other. Egotism, clinging, resentment—and other, darker shadows—rise to the surface and are released. Particularly in the last six months of [her] life, Wilber writes, “We simply and directly served each other, exchanging self for other, and therefore glimpsing that eternal spirit which transcends self and other, both ‘me’ and ‘mine’”

If this sounds like something you recall Jesus saying in the gospels, you’re right.

I do enjoy Cynthia’s style of writing and her bold expression of truth in the face of her own congregation and of the larger religious field in which she ministers. Fearless is perhaps the appropriate word to describe her writing. She is clearly in love with love leaving no room for fear of criticism and sanction.

The next two myths: “Human love is inherently different from divine love” and “Celibacy is a state of greater purity” I will leave for the next post. See you in a couple of weeks. Until then,

Be love. Be loved.

On Human Relations, part 3 page 2: Man-Woman Equality

My Chorale Pic

With the recent church shooting  in Charleston, South Carolina by a twenty-one-year-old man that abruptly ended nine lives, my thoughts turn to questioning the home life of this deeply troubled and misguided young man and the culture of racial prejudice into which he was born.

We’ve been considering The Law of Balance in this series on Human Relations. Here’s a case where that law has long been ignored in this young man’s family life, but more so in his social environment. Violence has its roots in the family unit and in our culture of hate and prejudice, particularly here in the South. Gun control is not where we need to go to fix this problem, and jailing or executing the shooter brings no healing to this wounded human being.  Only compassion and understanding will begin to heal him and eradicate prejudice and hate from our culture. He needs to be taken in by society and bathed in love, not shut out and disposed of by our penal system. That system needs a complete re-thinking and re-ordering. The church members were as quick to forgive this young man as they were open to welcome him into their congregation. That’s a huge step toward healing, both the traumatized congregation and the young man. That attitude needs to be reflected in society as a whole and somehow in our penal system.

*  *  *  *

In the previous post, I ended the excerpt from Lao Russell’s book, GOD WILL WORK WITH YOU BUT NOT FOR YOU, with this brief but poignant paragraph:

Man has always crucified love on the cross of his own self-glory by the killing of men; and women have always wept at the foot of the cross, as they wept when men crucified the Nazarene while all but one of His disciples who professed to love Him, deserted Him.

I then closed my post with thoughts that arose from reading what Lao had to say here concerning the crucified Nazarene, offering that there were actually three of His disciples who stood at the foot of the cross: Mary Magdalene, his wife and soul mate, his mother Mary, and John the Beloved with whom Jesus endowed His mantle of authority. I then suggested that Jesus and Mary Magdalene had fulfilled their mission and purpose on earth by restoring the union between Man and Woman, a union that had been fragmented since Adam blamed Eve for their disobedience. That failure on the part of Adam to accept responsibility for his action but rather place all the blame on Eve drove a wedge between them. It also separated them from the Creator, but only in consciousness and awareness.

With this severance of the unity between these two earthly partners in Creation and between Man and his Creator, the world as we knew it in the beginning began to change, as did our perception of the world. It became a hostile place to live where survival and the killing of animals and of one another became the way of existence on the planet. Man became the hunter and gatherer, as well as protector of his territory, and woman became the home maker. Love was lost in our fall from grace as fear darkened our hearts and clouded our vision. And that is how it has remained to this very day.

Lao continues to share her perspectives and understanding—which some of my readers may find antiquated. This was written, after all, in 1955.  Much has changed in our consciousness since then. I should hope so anyway.

All of this is quite natural. It could hardly be otherwise, for man in his unfolding (or evolving) remembered the fighter spirit of his primate days of taking, while not realizing that the woman spirit of giving was gradually awakening in him a keener desire for mental mating and the spiritual unity of the equal Father-Motherhood of balanced mating. The hardest lesson which man must learn during the long ages of his journey is that God made man and woman equal with one another in order that they should manifest divided love by equal interchange in their givings and regivings. God’s whole purpose for dividing His spiritual Self into pairs of fathers and mothers is to dramatize His Love nature by the romance of equal and opposite interchange of love. The romance of awakening love is far greater than either its mental or physical interchange. Every expression of mating is empty without the romance of love itself. Romance is love-awareness without which there can be no complete happiness in any mating.

The Cosmic drama of Creation is a romance which all mankind is perpetually transforming to comedy and tragedy as it eternally seeks romance without knowing the path which leads to it. Through the romance of balanced interchanging of love between fathers and mothers they find unity which alone gives to them the ecstasy of the divine nature of God.

Physical sex interchange has been first in the desires of mass-man. Mental sex interchange is rare, while romance starves in a world which would give all else for just one hour of it. That is the lesson of life which all must learn who search for the peace and happiness which will alone bring rest from world tensions. The world has never learned it because the senses of man have never let him know the real meaning of either love or romance.

The world of divided humans must some day know that God’s divided universe is an electrically sex-divided dramatization of CAUSE and EFFECT. The CAUSE is Mind-desire for expressing static idea through intechanging motion. The EFFECT is what happens because of that division and the necessity of interchanging. CAUSE is, therefore, oneand EFFECT is always two. The lesson of life is to learn how to so balance the interchanging between the two halves of every effect that all EFFECT is completely canceled out in complete sexlessness by their balanced unity.

God’s motive as Master-Playwright of His Cosmic drama is the love urge of the mating idea expressed physically by the uniting of bodies to void the physical tensions of the sex urge by balancing them, and thus reproduce other bodies. It is also for the purpose of expressing the love urge in its mental and spiritual expression by eliminating the mental tensions of separateness. This is accomplished by uniting spiritual mates for creating spiritual idea.

A mental sex relation is for the purpose of creating idea, while the physical sex relation is for the purpose of creating body forms of mentally conceived ideas.

That is why any woman and any man who have harmonious spiritual relations with each other, such as a mother and son, or good friends, or business partners, can multiply power in each other very much more. than any two men, or any two women could possibly do.

That is why any organization which consists solely of men, whether it be an industry, a club, or the cabinet of the President of the United States, or of other organizations composed of women only, necessarily creates unbalanced structures in which there can never be complete unity.

That is why this man-made world is so badly unbalanced and disunited. Its male qualities are so preponderant that it has made a civilization which operates like a flywheel whose shaft is badly offcenter. A woman-made world would be just as unbalanced. Its preponderance of female qualities would make it equally disunited.

If you look into the life history of any great man you will find a woman in it who had a tremendous influence upon the creative powers which accounted for his greatness. It may be more than one woman, such as his mother, and his wife, or sweetheart, or dearly loved friend. No matter who that woman, or those women were, the basis of their interchange with him must first be love mentally
expressed. A spiritual union between any man and woman is of ten-thousand times more value than love physically expressed without the spiritual.

The romance is in the awakening of love in one another, which is not a one-time event when our hormones are beginning to kick in. It’s has to be an ongoing event.

Love is not objective, nor can it be possessed. The woman awakens love in the man, and the man awakens love in the woman. The romance of it is in the awakening, not in the consummation. It is the awakened ability to love which counts, and not the acquisition of the object which has awakened it, nor in any physical contact whatsoever. A woman may not even be aware that she is deeply loved, and the man who loves may never even exchange a word with her. Where love is spiritual it uplifts, exalts, enriches and ennobles.

Where sex is purely physical it debases and defiles. Millions have ruined themselves through physical sex expression which was not spiritually balanced. The roué [debauched person] is despised where the parent is honored. Whole civilizations have been utterly destroyed by the sex debauchery of incest and promiscuity. Wherever spiritual sex-mating is preponderant over the physical there is then the beauty and glory of the power which men and women can alone
know who have that unity which comes to those “whom God hath joined together.”

Any man and woman who are thus spiritually and physically balanced multiply their unified power by eight—not two. Two separate, disunited potentials are only two, but when two potentials act as one their power multi-plies in the ratio of the cube. In other words, when two completely united, balanced mates act as one they do not add their two powers together to equal two, they multiply
them in the ratio of gravitation mathematics, which are three dimensional.

There is no lesson so hard to learn, or of such great import, as the long lesson of learning how to interchange all spiritual and physical divisions of effect equally in order to unify them, and thus make two unbalanced conditions become one. A balanced life, home, business, community, nation or world of nations is possible only by learning that great lesson by the hard way of experience until it is put into practice.

An approximation of balance will not suffice for complete happiness. A man who still insists upon being “master in his own home,” cannot have a happy home, even though he provides for his family generously and is a model husband in every other respect. With such a condition contentment is possible but romance is utterly stifled. A residue of unbalance still remains which makes it impossible to cancel out all actions and reactions by balancing them as a businessman balances his books constantly. A business could not succeed if a daily deficit made it impossible to balance its books, nor can a family succeed in being all that a family should where a constant tension exists which cannot be utterly voided.

The wife would try to assure herself she was happy by seeing the good points in her husband. Something would constantly be happening which would not happen if the home was a balanced one. A daughter might marry against her better judgment because of the tension which could not be eliminated, or a son might leave home where he otherwise would not. Unity cannot exist where tensions hold two apart. They will always be two until residual tensions are balanced. The two will then be ONE.

In countries where their women are forced to accept infidelities as a matter of course there can never be the happy home life enjoyed by those nations where infidelities are the exception and not the rule. Under such conditions unity is utterly impossible, because romance is impossible.

I will leave it there and leave you to ponder, and perhaps comment on, what you have read. We will continue along this vein in the next couple of posts.

On Human Relations, part 1 — What is love?

My Chorale Pic

In looking for what book to read next, Walter Russell’s MESSAGE OF THE DIVINE ILIAD came to mind.  I had read it some time ago and remembered the profound impact it had on me.  Looking at the front cover again, however, it was the subtitle that caught my attention: “THE DAWN OF A NEW DAY IN HUMAN RELATIONS.”

This theme also runs through Lao Russell’s book GOD WILL WORK WITH YOU BUT NOT FOR YOU, which my wife has been reading recently – which is likely why I was drawn to Walter’s book. What stands out to both of us reading these books is this matter of love, oneness and human relations. So, I would like to spend a few blog posts considering some of the wisdom that has come through these two authors . . . and perhaps add a little bit of my own.

As the “Golden Race” who are here to usher in a “Golden Age,” it behooves us to understand what love is. What does it mean to love God with all and our neighbor as our self? Let’s explore.

LOVE GOD

Of course this caption is redundant, for God is Love. When we feel love in our hearts, it is God we are feeling and experiencing. Love is God within us. When we love doing something, for example, we are experiencing the power of God working in and through us.

Here are some words of wisdom from Walter Russell:

A lady wrote me once that she hated making the beds and washing the dishes. I said: “Whenever you find that you do not like what you are doing, just remember that God centers you, and whatever you are doing you are doing it with Him and with His help. You cannot move your little finger otherwise. When you make your bed, just say, ‘Come, God, make this bed with me.’”

Later she wrote: “That made me love to make beds and do things I did not like to do. Knowing that God was helping me took away that feeling of loneliness and drudgery.”

Take joy in doing things; find happiness in doing everything the best way you can. If you have to do it, you must do it, so you might just as well love doing it. If you really love your work, you will not tire. Conversely, if you hate your work, you will poison yourself by that hatred and the poison must be removed by an understanding of the universal law of balance. Any other form of relief which does not remove the cause can only be temporary.

The way this truth is phrased quickened a fresh perspective in me: “…just remember that God centers you.” As I extend this truth outward to include everyone and every living thing around me, my worldview suddenly takes on a renewed quality of compassion. God centers all living creatures, including those who do “evil” deeds – terrorists, murderers, bank robbers and rapists. God centers them, too, although their actions do not seem to arise from that center but out of their conflicted hearts and misguided minds. Still, God centers us all, goes where we go, does with us what we do.  That’s a provocative thought . . . and, at the same time, empowering.  God does not pick up and leave us when we fail to act out of the Love that centers us.  God powers our every action. We simply provide direction. Nor does God abandon those who do harm to others and enact horrific crimes against humanity — our enemies. “Love your enemies,” the Teacher instructed, “Do good to those that hate you.” In other words, love God in your neighbor as your Self. Or, simply, love God.

LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS SELF

Lao Russell has written some wonderfully inspiring words in her book as well. In Chapter XVI, entitled “Love Ye One Another,” she speaks passionately and longingly about the family of Man as One Body of siblings who share One Father and One Mother.

“Man does not yet know how to live with other men. He has not yet found that every other man on earth is part of his very body, his very self, not merely his brother. . . . Three thousand miles away means nothing. What happens three thousand miles away happens in our own homes. People who are hurt three thousand miles away are being hurt in our own homes, for what happens anywhere happens everywhere.”

Then she waxes beautifully with deep passion as a mother who longs for the healing of her feuding family.

[The world] must see the good in man and not look upon him as sinful and evil. The world becomes what the world thinks. It thinks of man as sinful and evil and he has become what his own thoughts have made him. He has made a world of hate and fear, and where hate is love cannot also be.

There will come a time, however, when the whole human race will know itself as one family, with but the one FATHER-MOTHER of all. When that day comes every man will be the father and mother, or brother and sister, or son and daughter of every other man. As love comes into the world with spiritual unfolding, separateness and disunity go out of it. With love comes knowledge of the power of unity which makes the power of every man become the power of every other man. Separateness and selfishness breed each other. Separateness makes one man want for himself what every other man also wants for himself. Separateness takes. It never gives, and long ages of taking must pass before he learns that what he takes he never has, but what he gives he always has.

The long ages will pass, however, and every man will serve every other man whom he knows as his very Self. Blood relationship is mighty in its desire to serve sons and daughters, or brothers and sisters, and fathers and mothers in one separate family. No matter what wrong a son may do to the whole world, the love of parents is greater than the fault.

The happy, peaceful and progressive home is one where each member of the family thinks first of each other member, serves first each other before himself, and freely gives without motive of selfgain. In the ideal family everyone will not only serve each other to make him happy but will refrain from doing anything to make any member of it unhappy. That is the ideal. That is what every home needs to make complete happiness for every member of it.

The world is one family of one worldhome. The ideal world is one in which every member of it serves each other lovingly to give him happiness, and refrains from doing anything which will take his happiness away from him. That is the ultimate goal. That is what mankind is striving for. That is what he has been striving for over the long aeons. For these long ages he has ever been searching for the road which will lead to that goal of romance and peace.

The road to peace is not war. War is the road to destruction and post-traumatic suffering for our sons and daughters who fight for . . . what? That’s a good question, a question that likely lies at the heart of every soldier who comes back home after killing other selves. I believe deep down inside every man and woman who goes to war to fight their country’s battles returns home with a profound awareness that there are no “others.” There are only other countries’ sons and daughters who are just like themselves. There is no “other.” There is only one Self.  Russell says it well here and expands the thought to include place:

We think that thoughts, sounds, and other happenings of which we become cognizant take place in other objects and in other places outside ourselves. This objectivity of belief is not true to Nature. Everything which happens anywhere, happens everywhere.

There are not two points, two positions, or two objects in the entire universe. Therefore, whatever you think of as happening outside yourself is actually echoing within yourself.

There is no other place in the universe than that place which you universally occupy. Likewise, there is no knowledge or thought in the universe that is not omnipresent in the Light of you. The reflection of a light in the mirror is actually within the mirror. All Creation is a mirror which reflects itself within itself universally.

He then answers this profound question, which I will close with and let you ponder:

What is meant by being One with God?

The more you are aware that the Light of God centers you, the more you become aware that that Light is your very Self, and that your body is but an extension of your Self which you have created to manifest your Self. The more that awareness grows, the more you become the cosmic Being and the more you know. When you finally become fully aware of that Supreme Being as your very Self, you ARE that Supreme Being.

Human relations are healthy when based on love, which gives birth to oneness. We are each one centered by the same Light of Love. Therefore, we are already One at a core level, the level of our Being. At the Human level, we are different but not separate.  Like the rainbow of many colors that are inseparable from the one white light they differentiate, as Human Beings we are diversified in our expression of the One Light of Love. Why, then, does it seem so hard for us as a Global Family–or even as couples and nuclear families–to find our oneness in Being? Perhaps it is because we are distracted by our Human differences.  ‘Till my next post,

Be Love. Be loved.
